I analyzed the volume distribution of the famous TC Jerk. I really like its action and it is not an expensive lure. Blender is a mighty 3D program with lots of add-ons and it is possible to run python scripts in it....and it's for free! #blender #lurebuildersunited by @iyophon

With this machine, I can create wooden jerkbait prototypes very quickly. It eliminates the need for the time-consuming programming of CNC toolpaths. I sculpt the models in Blender and 3D-print a half-shell model, which I then glue onto a round steel rod. #lurebuildersunited #bambulab #pikefishing #woodturning by @iyophon

This time, I simply have too many prototypes. Some are relatively easy for weighting, while others are so complex in shape that the process takes a very long time. Sometimes, you also have to abandon a specific goal and take a new approach. I initially weight the jerkbait prototypes using washers, with each washer weighing exactly the same as a BKK 2/0 Spear 21 UVO treble hook. @bkkgermany #lurebuildersunited by @iyophon

Summertime is nearly over. I designed a couple of new baits. As always I took inspiration from legendary baits and added some features. Everyday I take a tiny step into improvement. On the third picture you see the next prototype. It will add a wide action glidebait to my portfolio. On picture 2 and 4 you see a hybrid style jerkbait which was inspired from the striker. The last picture shows a namazu/catfish design. I made it for testing out the capabilities of my machine. by @iyophon

Tested the new Rotarex blade with carbide cutters for lure making. It works like a charm. It cuts the Jerkbaits without burning marks. #bessersäger by @iyophon

Finally find a name for this Bait: "Strange Tool" These Baits are the first six of the Strange Tool Line Up and will be shipped next week to my friend @brazilfish he will go after Peacock Bass in amazonian waters. Also two are going to my German fellows @fabian_strasdas and @undergroundpredator which are predatory multispecies specialists. And last but not least @colbyjacksparrow who will test that bait on Bass in Texas. If you read the caption until here, you will probably noticed that two Baits are left.
