Chip NRG levels are approaching critical failure point.

Can IFFYHYPE and the OSU! GPT contain the situation? Will human + hologram collaboration be enough to prevent total chip failure?

is dead fest 2026, no amount of videos and clever editing comes close to you, the real deal. I have nothing but soppy things to say, but the soppiest of all is that I love my friends, I love my partner, I love my life and I love that I get to share these moments with peeps around me.

I think it might take me a while to fully get my head around the incredible weekend just gone.

It’s been a full-on few weeks, and I was a dead man walking as we packed up on Sunday. But there’s something pretty special about losing yourself in the obscure, obscene and sublime at Fell Foot Wood, surrounded by ridiculously talented, interesting, warm, funny and all-round lovely people being their fullest-flavoured selves.

From that which is dead comes new beginnings and new opportunities, and I’m now absolutely bursting with inspiration and motivation to go on and do ‘the thing’.

From the original is dead page, then Deadstream, then is dead fest (and all weird little side quests in between), there’s always been a common thread of creating contrast to the obvious, easy-to-like, vanilla things served through social platform recommendations and the likes.

I want to find things I might not know if I like at first. Things that stay with me and draw me back for another curious look. New things on the edge of the stuff I like. Things that help me understand why I enjoy the things I do.

This year’s is dead fest felt like a pretty perfect expression of that. New, weird and wonderful music, workshops, cabaret, projection, rituals, food, costumes, conversations and chaos, all around the woods waiting to be discovered.
Stuff to get you asking WTF and encourage you to take a moment to think. Loads of encouragement and support to bring that weird or silly idea to life.

I love the community that has formed around it. People curious enough to make, try, build, perform, explore and do ‘the thing’. People who see something that needs doing and get stuck in. People who want to play, fiddle and get messy. People who bring strange ideas and stories to life. People being open about how they express themselves and the hurdles they overcome.

A massive thanks to every single person involved, especially the legend that is Barry the Blackwood Baptist, for creating such a special place and continually championing what we do. What a hero.

I fuckin love my pals, and I'm as inspired by the amazingly creative, funny, caring, interesting, talented, beautiful people they are, as much as I am by the incredible things they make and the spaces they create.

It's been a busy summer of festivals this year, so I cannot wait for one last burst of wholesome, chaotic, collaborative, energy, with friends new and old, at this weekends is dead fest.

I think we have just about packed every idea submitted into the programme this year, so once again it's a melting pot of the weird and wonderful, with everyone getting a chance to get involved and do their thing.

See you int'woods. by @iz_dead
