Exactly a week ago today, I walked down her aisle, dulang in hand, on one of the most important days of her life.

How I wish the two little girls who spent their days sleeping tgt, eating tgt, swimming tgt, (fighting tgt lmao), could have seen this moment. How far we’ve come, and how much life has happened in between. We used to do dance battles in her room to Flo Rida’s Low song, before phones were a thing. Now, she video calls me without so much as a hello, just a “Mana Seth? Nak ckp dgn Seth”. I love you. I love that you love my son. I love that we get to experience this life together.

A friendship spanning over two decades has seen its fair share of seasons. Once two inseparable little girls, now lesser and lesser sleepovers, lesser and lesser trips to sunway lagoon (lmao), lesser and lesser updates.

The years may go by, and life may pull us in different directions, but my immense love for that little girl who once shared her bunk bed with me (for weeks at a time, bless ur parents for letting me basically move in) will always remain. God may not have given me a biological sister to grow up w, but he sure gave me a taste of it.

What a privilege it is to have known someone through so many chapters of life. To have loved the little girl she was and to now love the woman she’s become. It is my rezeki that after all these years, for that love to still remain.

My heart is so at peace seeing you marry this man. The calm, the strength, and the love I saw in his eyes ten years ago - still exactly the same today. If not, more. When I think of soulmates, I think of the two of you.

Selamat Pengantin Baru to you both. May Allah bless your union with a lifetime of love, patience, laughter, and barakah. Now lets plan our Japan trip. by @izleenizham
