BL4KKL1GHT 1S OFF1C14LLY OUT NOW ON 4LL PL4TFORMS 🔊‼️‼️
L1NKS 1N B1O GO STRE4M EVERYONE🗣️‼️‼️

Huge thank you to everybody who came out to the event and supported the release and everybody who’s been streaming the album already! 🫶🏼💜

Also gotta give a special thank you to @sanguine_hedonist for voice acting as Neos through out the project. Thank you for all your help over the years I’ve worked on this. Your friendship and faith in my vision have been a blessing 🫶🏼💜

And thank you to the rest of my friends and now former classmates @4zecario @the_hangman_d & @enouementmusic for helping me put all of this together. I also congratulate you on your releases as well as graduating and I wish for your success as we move forward 🙏🏼🎉

I also want to extend my gratitude towards @aytheris_x for essentially becoming an engineer by osmosis. You delved into a field that was a total mystery to you (pretty sure it still is lol) with nothing but an eager desire to help make this dream a reality and I cherish you dearly for that 🫶🏼💜

Working on this album genuinely saved my life (and nearly took it 😭) and I hope the tales I wrote here can help someone else find the answers they need. I’m planning to start doing shows this Summer, I have a few lined up already, and I’m going to start being more active on this account again! Though like I said on track 13 “I got some life to live before I write my next hit”

Thank you for everything! Til next time! ✌️ by @izzieblackstarr

The concept behind this project is the combination of two different approaches to capturing my life and experience on record. The first coming from tracks written and never recorded for an abandoned project titled “D4RK DRE4MS DON’T D1E”. A depressed emo rap album centered around the trauma from my childhood and littered with the remaining angst of my teenage years. A lot of maturing and lessons about life and how to handle its challenges later led me to abandon this project in pursuit of a new vision. This vision would lead me to assume the new identity of Izzie D Artist and begin working on a project titled BL4KKL1GHT along with an accompanying documentary series that would both be left incomplete.
The concept behind this was to build a completely new identity free from the trauma I was harboring. Letting go of my past by using the colors of my pain to paint something beautiful. While it was well intended I still wasn’t seeing the seeing the full vision and I ran out of money in the budget so the project consequently fell short. This new take on BL4KKL1GHT is the marriage of both these concepts, finally painting the full picture. Accepting my past I tried so desperately to run from, embracing it as those experiences have made me who I am today, and realizing that I can still be so much more.
It is the suicide that my old self had longed for years, and the chance at rebirth I have been seeking. In the darkest hours of the night, I stand beneath the black lights and my scars glow beautifully as I sway and dance to the rhythm of life.

Album drops this Thursday, April 30th! I sincerely hope you enjoy 🙏🏼‼️ by @izzieblackstarr
