In doing that, I blossomed into a social butterfly.I built GetReadyWithIzzy simply by doing what I love: fashion and content creation. THE LEADER 👩🏾‍⚖️Usually I’m humble, but allow me to talk my talk for a second!Serving as the 81st Student Government Association President while also serving as the 81st Chapter President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated taught me more about leadership, balance, sacrifice, and purpose than I could have imagined.As a freshman, I thought I was going to be a student athlete, but life quickly changed my plans. That season taught me that rejection truly is redirection, and that God’s plan will always be bigger than my own. THE GRADUATE 👩🏾‍🎓Dear Old JCSU,In 2022 I came in unsure of my full potential.Now I’m leaving as a woman capable of anything.Countless memories, organizations, internships, leadership roles, and connections that turned into lifelong bonds. This place gave me more than I could have imagined.Graduating with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude!The youngest grandchild, and the first to graduate.And before I even walk the stage, I’m leaving with a full-time job and my first apartment.Thank you to my family for always encouraging me, for reminding me it was okay to do it all and also okay to change directions.Thank you to my friends and my sisters for always lifting me up.And thank you to myself.
