In 2025, I grew frustrated with difficult silks tricks and instead dove into pole and hammock (only mildly neglecting my silks). My practices became very dance and flow focused. This year was more about calming my mind than learning any super-difficult skills. I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to train and perform throughout the year :)

Metamorphosis was quite the ‘on the nose’ theme for me to take on. This piece became a personal expression immediately. There was discomfort in the creation and that became sort of a proof of my concept in itself.

We are forced to evolve in this life. The change will come regardless of your resistance. All we can do is become the next version of ourselves.

I hope I left a little of that message with the crowd. Everyone was so lovely! A big thank you to @the.moonlightcircus and more specifically @lauren.elevatecreative for organizing a wonderful show.

Based out of Lake Country, BC, Izzy Twisted has been practicing aerials for 5 years. An artist through and through, Izzy loves creating visual art as well as physical art – focusing on capturing moments of nature through beautiful paintings, and combining her love of art with physicality through aerial silks. She also dabbles in aerial hoop, hammock, and pole.

Izzy loves to lead audiences through a journey during her performances, a journey that expands beyond tricks to the beautiful transitions and fluidity behind them. She has guided audiences through this journey during various Peak Aerial Fitness studio showcases and a BEEPs Okanagan fundraiser event, and is excited to bring the audience of Metamorphosis on an adventure through the constant evolution of life: growth, resistance, and change.
