This one is for Samantha Gus, aka Gus Bus The first car I’ve owned, my summer home for 5 years, survivor of 3 separate incidents that knocked out the back right tail light, and so, so many bears.

If I could, I would take it to Alaska for the 4th of July and launch it off a cliff, but unfortunately that is not financially possible, so I sold it. It never actually died on me, but RIP, it was a good run.

I am now taking name suggestions for my new truck, it’s a pretty badass pink manual diesel that I’m going to put a camper on, and have a summer home I can actually stand in! by @izzybertram_

A whole bunch of photos from this summer- mostly not from the big rafting missions, although that was the highlight. The rafting community is my favorite thing in the world, and it’s bittersweet to be transitioning into fall.

I got to show my littlest brother the joy of a fun lap, bought a new (old) manual truck, learned that I love swimming holes, watched some great sunsets, played in the ocean for the first time, pushed my progression harder than rookie guide Izzy could have dreamed of, while feeling like I’ve just scratched the surface of the potential @kharimelhuish and I could hit R2ing. It’s not always easy- learning to drive a manual is driving me crazy- but it’s a damn good time! by @izzybertram_

Super awesome to have 6 R2s, a centerframe, a cat and a kayaker out there.

The season isn’t quite over yet, but I’m super proud of all the things @kharimelhuish and I have accomplished this year, and am really excited to see where the rivers take us next! by @izzybertram_

Highlights from the North Fork rendevous! @izzybertram_ and I got to run a lower 7 and an upper 5, excited to try and get the full top to bottom next year! Huge thanks to @sotaronthewater for letting us use a boat! Thank you to @gregbabikoff for organizing such an awesome event! The whitewater was amazing and the entire crew was fantastic! Can't wait to run it back in 2027!

The crux of Nutcracker rapid(V)! There's a demanding entrance move above it, and a long steep runout below, making this one of the most intimidating rapids I've ever run! Thank you so much @sotaronthewater for letting @izzybertram_ and I borrow a boat! Having that raft with us really let us push ourselves while we were out there!

Also huge shout out to the entire North Fork rendezvous crew! The group vibes, safety skills, knowledge of the section, and willingness to get after it on some hard whitewater were amazing! I'd boat with yall down absolutely anything!!!

3 days running the South Fork Kings river into Garlic falls! Super big, stout, and most importantly, fun! Big hits, some steezy lines, and most importantly some solid carnage!

Thank you @kharimelhuish for TLing the kern crew rally, providing the stoke, support, and being a phenomenal R2 and expedition partner.

Thank you @hoeckryan and @mattfsteele for showing us down, setting up great safety and showing us awesome side hikes.

Huge shoutout to the rest of the crew, for providing excellent safety and excellent vibes!!!- @rafting_rick , @gingerjeff_1849 , @raftjeremiah , @sotaronthewater , @joe_jester and Paul- y’all rock🤘🏼 here’s to many more big runs!

Also huge thanks to our shuttle drivers Paul and Dylan, and special thanks to @jacobbarsom for always being willing to let us use his boat!

Spring!! In no particular order- Summer started in March! April got March weather. Summer could be anything.

Winter so far❄️ so many highs this season, progression in work and skiing, and some lows.

If I’ve learned anything over the last few years- change is the only constant variable in a seasonal work life. And, the Tahoe community I’ve known and returned to every winter is amazing and always growing.

I’m currently trying to learn how to balance the need to never waste a day with the need for rest and recovery.

Days off well spent searching for the goods. By far the most hiking I’ve done in many months. Body is tired and stoke is high. Really thankful winter finally made an appearance❄️ by @izzybertram_
