You are amazing, even with your flaws.
Because You are human.

We reach for perfection but the goal post keeps shifting
We hold on to things we shouldn't be holding,
until we break, and blame ourselves.

We often fall into the trap
constantly working
thinking it will make us feel enough.

What if we forgave ourselves more often?
What if we recognized the beautiful pieces of ourselves more,
all our jagged pieces

your weekly affirmation 💜

I have the tendency to try and solve future problems that are impossible to solve. I realize it is another way to control things that are actually out of my control.

This is a reminder to you: you don't have to solve every scenario. When you learn to trust your intuition, you also learn to let go of the outcomes. by @izzychengart

entitled Deep Dive;
what if the deepest dive we ever take is the one within ourselves 🐠
what if the biggest adventure we take is the one where we explore who we are 🐠
what if the most mysterious thing we find is our authentic selves 🧜‍♀️

This piece sat unfinished for a long over a year, but I spent the time reviving it and bringing it to life. I am a mixed media artist, and I demonstrate painting the watercolor and acrylic parts to cut out, and paste them onto a wood panel with gesso. I find a special satisfaction doing mixed media because it brings different textures into one piece, although I made sure the unifying elements were the style and color palette. 💚🩵 by @izzychengart

In a world where being productive and fast moving, and unfeeling is rewarded. But grief, sadness and anger are all valid human emotions, and we have the right to feel all of them. This is a reminder to go easy on yourself 💜 💓 by @izzychengart

They kind of resemble each other right??

Watercolor sketches are useful, but the final result ALWAYS surprises me. It's never quite like I imagined, but in a good way.

One piece of advice that's stuck with me is that a painting "will tell you what it wants to be as you paint it." And it will "tell you when it's done." With watercolor and acrylic that's especially true. I've found that letting go of controlling the paint too much actually makes it better, because then the happy mistakes become the art. It makes it feel more human. by @izzychengart
