Mate - book 55/70 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is not ordinarily a book I would pick up but it’s Ali so of course I will. I was so fascinated by Serena’s biology journey and that was so unexpected! I felt like we got more of an understanding of how a pack runs in this one as opposed to Bride. A highlight for me was getting to hear from Misery again!! Their humor was SO funny. This book was so devour-able and perfect for this time of year 🐺🌕

The Knave and the Moon - book 54/70 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this one even more than the first! This one had some really fun tropes and expansions on characters I already loved. I was SO pleased by the trajectory and ending of this duology. The antagonist in this book felt weak and poorly written in comparison to everything else going on in this book. I enjoyed the plot but did not feel the suspense! However, the other interpersonal relationships I loved.

The Simple Wild - book 52/70 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This book is so conflicting for me!! The imagery, setting, and found family were absolutely fantastic and are what kept me reading. Our FMC was a bit pretentious but I warmed up to her the longer she was out of the city. The MMC was rude and annoying! I did not enjoy his repeated “tests” to deem her Alaska worthy. I am an enjoyer of enemies to lovers but this one just didn’t work for me, I didn’t feel his underlying feelings as typical for that trope. It was also wild that this took place all in a couple weeks. However… did I cry at the end? YES!

The Good Part - book 52/70 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was such a pleasant surprise and made me think so much! I wasn’t sure how they would pull off the magical realism of it all but I really enjoyed it. I think this is a great read for anyone who enjoyed more of a mature main character compared to most romance books. This book made me appreciate the phase I’m in!
