I had always wondered where Prince Caspian got his name and what this formidable sea was like. I didn't know you could get a ferry across as a passenger until Rollz said and I thought I'd join along.

Built in 1984 as a Soviet cargo ship Professor Gül was from a fleet of three ships built in Azerbaijan. One of which sank in 2002. Having been decommissioned during Covid shes back on this dangerous sea battling some of the strongest winds.

💨 🌊

There was only a handful of other people on this ship all of whom either worked on the ship or as truckers. I mostly wandered around alone checking out the rooms and decks untouched since the Soviet union. It was equally eerie and fascinating.

25hrs on a ship is not for those who can't sit in quiet contemplation but it was much easier than the three day train ride we took across Kazakhstan...

Nick Tenconi embodies Alex from a Clockwork Orange as he sings in the rain and makes threats of ultra-violence with a small band of sorry looking patriots.

I felt like I could really see the light die in Nick Tenconi's eyes on this march.

Today showed continuously dwindling for the most irrelevant far-right political party (UKIP) despite being the one to start it all.

Tenconi's style is usually very serious which doesn't appeal compared to bumbling idiots such as former UKIP leader Nigel Farage.

This time Tenconi tried to put on a half hearted performance spinning around like a plane and singing in the rain with a hop and skip in an pale imitation of his predecessors.

He even had some pre-planned gimmicks; tacky prayer cards with St Michael the archangel prayer on which he handed out to his most loyal supporters. Some were even greeted with "Good day to die." (I think having been the leader of Turning Point UK, Tenconi is bitter and jealous he will never be important enough to be assassinated unlike his counterpart Charlie Kirk.)

He's just never been quite ahead of the curve enough despite anti-migrant sentiment growing in this country, he's been outpaced by more violent and hardline agitators and his flavour of christo-fascism has never been popular here.

It was however interesting to see that many of his body guards and attendees are the Southampton Patriots or Millwall supporters. I'm sure most of them would much rather have been at the footie as they played eachother with saints beating Millwall 5-1 by @izzysalyx

Earlier today UKIP leader Nick Tenconi marched his tiny band of fascists through central London. As always for Tenconi it was a small turn out as both his and UKIP's heyday have passed.

Full report tomorrow. by @izzysalyx

Dissonance brought together works exploring displacement, cognitive dissonance, and the fractured ways we inhabit ourselves.

The exhibition considered how we are split by the histories we carry—how parts of us can remain suspended in certain moments even as time continues to move us forward.

It was truly beautiful to contemplate our depth together, to feel what binds us, and to wish, collectively, for light to shine through our embodied spirits. taken in Deptford SE8 by @izzysalyx

DISSONANCE — Exhibition this SATURDAY 20/06 !

11AM — Late
190 Evelyn Street, SE8 5DB

Dissonance brings together works that explore displacement, cognitive dissonance, and the fractured ways we inhabit ourselves. The exhibition considers how we are split between the histories we carry—how we can remain suspended in certain moments even as time continues to move us forward. To live is often to occupy multiple internal spaces at once: scattered, layered, and sometimes in conflict.

🖼️ Artists :

@ombeline_ombeline’s painting series Cloud Body explores eating disorder and dissociation through grief. As the scale of the paintings grows, so does the possibility of reuniting mind and body—finding forms spacious enough to hold both rupture and repair.

@rollie.kahaani ‘s photos show the rise of fascism across Europe and resistance of communities that are on the receiving end of its violence.

@gonetokroatan presents a large-scale cyanotype from an ongoing exploration of memory and phantasm: what remains after the places we call home are erased, displaced, or evicted.

@waste_paperr ‘s work examines the trans body as a site of contrition under institutional assumptions of purity, tracing the internal dissonance produced by these structures.

@izzysalyx’s photographic project documents the extreme measures taken by the state to suppress environmental protest, revealing the violence embedded within systems of control.

On Saturday 18th April Britain First marched through the streets of Manchester. There was a significant counter demo that rivalled BF numbers but both were around 500 people strong.

BF were led by Paul Golding, a former British National Party councillor.
Golding himself describes the party as far-right and the chants confirm the hate groups feelings towards migrants and particularly Muslims.

Both Britain First and the counter demonstraters were given containment areas with a sterile zone inbetween. The left however were kettled into the pen by two lines of cops. The right only penned in by their leader Paul Golding who set up his stage at the exit to try to force those supporting BF to listen to him. GMP let anyone they considered part of the BF demo to roam in and out of the containment area as they wish.

This included letting "the auditors" round to the anti-fascist side where they were constant agitators resulting in stand offs with antifascists. GMP didn't like this and charged horses into the crowd on the lefts side continuously. They then chased a small group down the streets round to the fash side where they were brutally shoved to the ground.

Despite GMP releasing a statement saying they would police without fear or favour, I definitely witnessed favour to BF including officers continuously flirting with the right compared to grabbing masks and glasses off the faces of the left.

Facing off fascism in the centre of Manchester.

Antifascists came out to counter Britain First and it was clear who GMP were being more heavy handed with. From the start horse were brought towards the crowd and batons and pepper spray used to stop the leftist blocs from marching.

At the end police charged their horses into the antifascist protestors to break up minor scuffles when far-right streamers were antagonising people.

Whilst the far-right were never kettled and able to move freely out of their fenced area the majority of antifascists demonstrators were kettled by two lines of police.

Moments where a bloc broke free were met with unrestrained violence and aggression resulting in multiple injuries.
