COLD CALLER
A (pseudo) political short film

Produced by Julian Abelskamp and @_gabbygrows with @l2gproductions
Co-produced by @thesaigal
Edited by Julian Abelskamp

Need a sizzling summer read?

Contributed a lurid, possibly smutty gay short-story to the GLAMOUR edition of @mikesdelibrand Mag.

A broken heart, a Hollywood producer, the widening wealth gap, and disappearing beauty as seen through a one-night stand at a San Francisco Hotel that goes…well, read it and find out!

Fiction, inspired by true events. This one was a major departure for me, but boy was it fun.

Get your hard copy now at @mikesdelibrand or the link in my bio to read this and other incredible words and art from some super cool people. Biggest thanks of all to my super talented friend and idol @jordanahowarddesign !!

Amsterdam in the spring.
Taking a deep breath before the plunge…
Celebrating change and friends and my favourite place on earth.
And some new places, memories and views I’ll hold close. Especially the last ones… taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @j.abelskamp

Just the good, silly moments in the chaos.
December to April.
More travel.
New York. Amsterdam. London. And back again.
Old and new friends. Never enough time.
The final steps before a big leap!
More and more grateful for the people I love. taken in New York, New York by @j.abelskamp

Summer to Winter.
LA to SF to New York.
Loved ones, acting, writing, teaching,
Never enough time,
So much planning,
and seeking
and yearning
and remembering to be silly and grateful for this wild, wild ride. taken in New York, New York by @j.abelskamp

First day of 34,
looking back on 33.
Profound change. In every way.
Plenty more of it to come -
but I feel so immensely lucky to have this much love in my life. And boy do I ever have faith in it.
Love that has shifted in nature, but is stronger than ever.
The love of friends that have become family as we carry each other through. They’ve certainly carried me.
And all the love that will find its way further down the road. Whenever that may be ✨ by @j.abelskamp

So pleased to share the radio piece of my queer Crusoe piece highlighting the life and legacy of Leendert Hasenbosch, a story that’s gripped me for the last six years.

Thanks to the @bbcworldservice for sharing the story and for @j.abelskamp and Elwin Hofman for their contributions to helping get Leendert’s story out, 300 years later. Julian’s play Ascension will continue development with public readings in New York City this Fall.
Can’t wait to see it in real life! ❤️
