It’s been a while since I got this news, but I’m incredibly honored to announce “Design For Change” won a Red Dot Award at the 2025 Red Dot Design Concept Award 🔴🏆 I still remember starting my senior collection with so many questions, creating a modular system for shoes felt impossible at times. Seeing this work recognized by such a prestigious award meant so much to me. It’s a reminder to keep pushing boundaries. The future of footwear isn’t about changing looks, but making shoes more functional, sustainable, and adaptable to how we actually live. Thank you @scaddotedu and my professors for believing in this project and submitting my work. - “The future of footwear lies not in complexity, but in smart, adaptable design.” - #RedDotAward #SCAD #DesignForChange by @j.gp_studio

Honored to share that 3 of my projects won the 2025 Global Footwear Awards 🏆 @globalfootwearawards Fashion Sneakers / Sneakers category ‘Design For Change’ A modular footwear system designed to adapt across environments through interchangeable sole caps and innovative upper construction. ‘FLASHBACK’ A sneaker concept mentored by PUMA SportStyle, inspired by Gen Z and Millennials’ renewed love for vintage technology and analog photography. By embracing imperfection, nostalgia, and craftsmanship, FLASHBACK reimagines how vintage culture can feel fresh in today’s digital world. • • Teammates: @fabyabreusuarez (Fashion Marketing), @byeugalvezp (Graphic / UX Design) Project Mentor: @calodesignlab ‘The Matrix’ A futuristic footwear concept inspired by the film that redefined how we imagine the future. Designed as a mobility interface, it challenges the limits between digital and physical reality. Grateful for the mentors, collaborators, and platforms that made these projects possible. by @j.gp_studio
