Here’s a new work by the talented @j.heightart that will be on display this weekend at the @blackboyartshow in Brooklyn.

His mixed-media paintings pose interesting photographic challenges, and accurately capturing the fluorescent pigments requires a wide-gamut color space.

Throwing it back to The DCF Experience #7 💙👟

Every time I look back at photos from these weekends, I’m reminded of just how special this community has become. What started as a crazy idea has turned into a room full of artists, creators, and people from all over the country coming together to learn, create, and push each other.

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has trusted me enough to spend a weekend learning alongside me. These weekends have become just as much about the people as they are about the shoes, and I genuinely can’t wait to see where everyone from #7 takes their craft next.

And now… we get to do it all over again. 👀

📢 The DCF Experience #8 is officially happening October 16–18!

A new group, three days, and another weekend of creating memories, learning the craft, and of course, making some killer shoes.

I can’t wait to welcome the next crew into the family. 💙

Huge thanks to everyone who made last year’s course so special, and a huge shoutout to the incredible DCF team for making it all possible: @brit_dejesus @danieldejesus6 @j.heightart @beckhamcustoms @nerdragestudio

I am terrible about posting stuff. Lol but this was from last summers hunt for simple good. @shilpa.g23 won this piece and she one these year piece which I will post tomorrow. This painting title is Creative Spark. Wanting to capture the join of creating and coming up with great ideas. In this painting the little boy joy is captured while looking at a paint brush that looks like a sparkler. I loved sparklers as a kid and thought they were the coolest thing ever. This was a semi live painting. Acrylic on canvas with air brush. by @j.heightart

I really need to do a better job of taking photos for real and taking more to document my life. Need to be more conscious of this but these are last ones from the black boy art show. Had a blast can't wait for the next one. Also I feel like when I put these glasses on it like reverse clark kent, I put them on and go superman, and get right into art mode, out here slanging this art to the masses haha. taken in Atlanta, GA by @j.heightart

There is no better feeling then creating. Only thing close is when someone loves what you created as much as you loved creating it. I appreciate ATL for showing love to me and shout out to these two for buying some original artwork from me! Thank you @blackboyartshow taken in Atlanta, GA by @j.heightart
