Sam was the biggest goofball who loved animated movies, had an unhealthy obsession with fast food fried chicken and coke, loved all types of puzzles and riddles, and especially loved the late night deep talks crying over we’re not really strangers. He was really bad with spicy food but wanted so badly to be good at it. He exclusively sang ordinary people by John Legend as his Russian alter ego, Sergei. He would just start dancing, anywhere, and everyone would stop and stare because his love for dance was magnetic. Sam was an artist with the biggest dreams and the softest heart, who cared so deeply about everyone and everything.

My heart hurts so much, and I think it always will as I remember you. But as I think back on our memories, I will continue to laugh, because I know that’s what you would want.

Your dad said you had to go teach the saints how to dance so if the heavens are shaking a little, I know you’re teaching them how to Jersey club.

The dance community is mourning a legend, and alongside all of that, I am mourning my best friend. I am so lucky to know you, love you, and be loved by you.

You are so loved, I love you forever. 🤍🕊️ by @j.lee07
