POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Imagine getting the call that your loved one died while in custody—and months later, your family is still searching for answers.

Imagine being the person in distress, gasping for air, possibly hearing the people around you calling and pleading for help. Imagine knowing something is terribly wrong, knowing you need help, and watching that help walk away.

How does a family live with that?

How do we accept a family still having unanswered questions about the circumstances surrounding their loved one’s death?

No matter why Deavon was incarcerated, **he was still a human being.**

He was a son.
A brother.
A family member.
A friend.
A person who was deeply loved by many.

Being incarcerated should never mean that your life no longer matters. It should never mean that cries for medical help can be ignored.

Our family deserves answers.
Deavon deserves accountability.
Deavon deserves to have his story heard.

We will continue asking questions. We will continue speaking his name. And we will continue seeking the truth about what happened to **Deavon Jaheim Scott.**

**If you witnessed what happened to Deavon or have information surrounding his death while at River Bend Detention Center, please come forward. You may remain anonymous.**

JUSTICE FOR
DEAVON JAHEIM SCOTT

On February 10, 2026, Deavon Scott lost his life while in custody at River Bend Detention Center.

His mother was notified in the middle of the night—
given no clear answers, and sent searching for information on her own.

She called the hospital.
She called the facility.
She waited.

Still, no real answers. No full transparency.

We demand accountability.
We demand the truth.
We demand justice.

Join us for a Community Walk for Justice

📍 [Baton Rouge state capitol]
🗓 [April 29,2026]
⏰ [11AM]

Stand with us. Walk with us. Speak for Deavon.

No more silence. No more unanswered questions.

On February 10, 2026, at 2:16 a.m., a mother’s life changed forever.

Denise Marie Scott answered a phone call from the Louisiana East Carroll Parish River Bend Detention Center—only to be told, with little compassion or explanation, that her son, Deavon Jaheim Scott, was deceased.

When she asked what happened, she was told: “I can’t give you that information.”
When she asked where her son was, she was directed elsewhere.
When she sought answers, she was met with delays, silence, and uncertainty.

At 2:33 a.m., she called the hospital searching for answers—only to be told they could not release any information.
She was forced to wait hours.
Her calls went unanswered.

And when she finally received a response, the explanation was vague: a reported seizure, based only on internal footage that has not been released.

Since that day, no clear evidence, no full report, and no transparency have been provided.

A life was lost.
A mother was left searching in the dark.
And the truth still has not been fully revealed.

This is not just one family’s pain—this is a call for accountability, transparency, and justice.

We will not stay silent.

Join us as we walk for Deavon.
Stand with us. Speak up. Demand answers.
