Taste the Gap.

Food concept for the semester exhibition Mind the Gap by @narrativemedia.design , exploring the gap between expectation and reality.

• Coconut & cardamom jellies with passion fruit curd cream

• Vanilla blini with miso cream, passion fruit & blackcurrant caviar

• Parmigiano crackers filled with spicy tomato & beet jam

• Ginger & basil fermented soda

For the opening I created a menu that challenges our expectations of taste and experience when confronted with foods we think we recognize.

Familiar forms meet unexpected and opposing flavors, playing with the gap between perception, expectation, and experience.

Animated poster and sound design inspired by the chaos and visual overstimulation of Barcelona’s bodegas. Based on a trip I took there last year with @narrativemedia.design

The product of @typographicprintingprogram earlier this summer!

I spent two weeks in Näfels, Switzerland, learning the craft of letterpress printing and creating a poster for a fictional cultural event set in this quaint mountain town nestled within the Alps. ✨ by @j.schaeff
