📢 BIG NEWS! 📢

South Carolina Surf is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the Charleston-based @upslsoccer team!

In collaboration with current Head Coach @j20az, South Carolina Surf will now manage the area’s only pro-development league team.

The UPSL occupies the 4th tier of the @ussoccer pyramid, just below the three professional tiers in the pyramid. With a participant average age of 22.5 years, the UPSL fills and brings structure to the large gap that exists between the youth game and the professional game, serving thousands of aspiring players and coaches as they strive to further their aspirations and fuel their passions.

We also want to acknowledge the work @charlestonunitedsoccerclub put in with the team up to this point and appreciate their efforts to provide this level of competition to players in the Charleston area. 👏

Some of our Charleston United UPSL players and I had the pleasure of visiting Pinehurst Elementary School. We had an amazing time meeting students from different grades, sharing smiles, and playing fun soccer games together. The energy, excitement, and joy from the kids made the experience truly special. We’re grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to give back to our community in a meaningful way.

A big thank you to the staff and students of Pinehurst Elementary for having us — we can’t wait to be back soon!

A year ago, through Fit Touch, I started a small campaign with a big heart: to collect soccer equipment and donate it to a grassroots club in Egbeda, Lagos, Nigeria. The idea came through one of the most genuine people I’ve met through this game “Dayo” who shared the challenges kids in his hometown face trying to play the sport we all love. No cleats. No uniforms. Just heart.

What happened next was incredible. Messages of support started pouring in. People showed up donating cleats, uniforms, and gear with nothing but kindness and love.

Today, I received a photo that truly moved me: kids in Nigeria, proudly wearing and holding the cleats and uniforms we were able to send. That moment seeing the joy, the pride, the connection, that’s what it’s all about. This game unites us. It lifts people.

To every single person who donated or shared a kind word: thank you. You helped create something special. You brought joy to kids across the world. You reminded me of the power of community.

And we’re not done.

We’ll be collecting more gear soon, and this will now become a yearly tradition. Every year, we’ll give back through the game that’s given us so much. Let’s keep building this bridge—together. ❤️⚽🇳🇬
