And just like that, our baby boy is married!!
September 4th was the most perfect day celebrating Ayden & Nyah.
Their day began at the Idaho Falls Temple, where they were sealed for time and all eternity, followed by the most beautiful ring ceremony and reception at Nyah’s grandparents estate. Every detail was so thoughtfully planned by the darling bride and it all felt so completely them.
We absolutely adore Nyah and feel so incredibly grateful that these two found each other. Watching them surrounded by the people who love them most was one of those days I wish I could bottle up and keep forever.
I knew giving my toast would be emotional but even harder was the Mother-Son dance. The song he chose was “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan and I’m not sure there couldn’t have been a more perfect song and it took everything in my power to hold back the tears.
Being Ayden’s mom has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and watching him become a husband to someone as lovely and wonderful as Nyah was a moment I’ll never forget. Mr. & Mrs. Kissell, we love you two special’ “You’ll be in my heart, always”. 🤍 by @j2kiss

Once upon a time, in a far off land called the Tricities our baby girl got her fairytale…
Family and friends traveled far to witness this beautiful day. August 15, 2026, Shaylie married her one true love, Max O’Neil Ekins in the Columbia River Temple, followed by the dreamiest ring ceremony and reception at Broken Antler Winery.
Shaylie has always been our baby girl who believes in dreams coming true, sees the best in everyone, and somehow makes life feel just a little more magical. She is also the sweetest old soul, with such a love for family, old people , and all the beautiful stories and people who came before her.
So her wedding felt like stepping inside one of her daydreams.
Lace and antiques. Old photographs and records. Her Grandmother doing last minute alterations, Her great-grandmothers pearls, gloves, a hand mirror and treasures passed down through generations. Her Great Great Grandmothers car brought from Spokane by her Uncle Chris, a vintage photo booth lovingly made by her fairy godmother Sonja to capture this little moment in time. Everywhere you looked, there was a piece of our family, a memory, or someone we love woven into this perfect day. Every detail had a story.
And so many of those details were brought to life by the family and friends who love Shaylie and Max. Watching everyone come together to give our girl the wedding she has always dreamed about made the day even more than I imagined possible.
And then there is Max….
From the very beginning, he swept her off her feet. We love the energy these two bring to each other and the way they absolutely adore one another. We especially love the way Max treats her and takes care of her, builds her up and makes her feel seen and loved.
Under the willow trees, surrounded by generations of love and all the people who mean the most to them, our little girl got her happily ever after.
It was nostalgic and romantic and whimsical and somehow felt like a memory even while we were living it. A literal fairytale!!!
And if I could bottle up one day and keep it forever, it would be this one.

One last summer recap before we get to the TWO weddings. 🤍
This part of summer feels like one big beautiful blur…
Cheer camp at Great Wolf Lodge with my girls ❤️📣, squeezing in senior sessions whenever I could 📸, traveling to Utah to love on Koa while Kaiya & Chase were at the hospital and praying for sweet baby Laken to make his safe arrival, and spending time at the Ronald McDonald House. I am so incredibly grateful for the love, kindness and support of our family and angels here on earth who surrounded us during that time.
And somewhere in between all of that… cheer practices, making practice gear, wedding prep, projects covering every surface of my house, endless to-do lists, cars breaking down , celebrating birthdays, absolute chaos and yet trying to soak in the last little pieces of summer before two of my babies got married. 🥹
It was busy. It was emotional. It was exhausting. So many prayers that everything would work out, and all in all it was really, really beautiful!!! Counting every blessing no matter how small!!

Still catching up on all the sweetest moments from this summer… 🍯
Next stop, Idaho Falls to celebrate our beautiful bride-to-be, Nyah! Her best friend and family hosted the most perfect bridal shower “She Found Her Honey.” 🍯
It was so much fun celebrating Nyah and we felt so welcomed by her family and friends who made the whole bridal shower so special.
She definitely found her honey… and we feel pretty lucky that Ayden found his too. 🍯 by @j2kiss

Catching up on our summer, and this is one of the posts I’ve been putting off because it still hurts. 💔

In early June, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Roxy.

It’s amazing how such a tiny little 3-pound puppy could take up such a huge space in our in our hearts. She wasn’t just our dog, she was one of our kids… and if we’re being honest, probably Jeremy’s favorite child. 🤣

Toward the end, life had become really hard for her. She could no longer see or hear, and we knew loving her meant making the heartbreaking decision to let her go peacefully.

For 15 years, Roxy was there through it all and every seasons of life with our family, making memories right alongside us. She was truly the best little puppy, we miss her prancing and barking her little heart out on the stairs…. and our home just hasn’t felt quite the same without her.

We miss you Roxy! Thank you for 15 years of unconditional love, companionship, and some of our sweetest family memories.

What a summer this has been!
This summer was filled with some of our family’s biggest celebrations, but also some of our most tender, uncertain, faith-filled moments. And now, at the end of it all, we get to share the sweetest news…
Baby Laken is here!!!
When we learned that Chase and Kaiyas baby boy had spina bifida, there was so much worry and so many unknowns. Our family was suddenly walking a road we never expected, one that included so many specialists, waiting for answers, time away from home, and an incredible surgery performed on Laken while he was still in utero and safely tucked inside his Kaiyas tummy.
There were moments of fear, but there were also so many miracles along the way.
And through every bit of it, we were reminded that we were never walking alone.
Our family and friends became our literal angels on earth… praying for us, checking in, giving so generously, providing places to stay, helping financially, showing up in countless ways, and simply loving our family through it all. The Ronald McDonald House was an incredible gift and a place of comfort and kindness when it was needed most. We will never be able to fully express what every prayer, message, meal, donation, hug, and act of service meant to our family.
And now, after months of praying for Kaiya, Chase, Koa and this little boy, Laken is finally here and home safely.
Grateful for family and friends who carried Chase and his family and us when things felt heavy. Grateful for every prayer that was spoken on his behalf.
And most of all, grateful that this perfect little boy is finally safely here
And that Kaiya was able to be so brave and strong and able to have him naturally after such a hard pregnancy and surgery.
Welcome to our family, sweet Laken. We love you beyond measure
and know that you were surrounded by angels long before we ever got to hold you. by @j2kiss

My dream job has always been being a mom.
Today, I’m feeling so grateful for my own mother, grandmothers, and all the incredible women who have nurtured, inspired, and helped shape me in to the Mom I am.
