POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s been almost 18 months since I posted on Instagram, and I can’t think of a better reason to come out of posting retirement than reminding the world about the wonderful woman who is my bride.

She represents the image of God to me in so many ways. Her compassion and strength and vision for the best in life have pulled, pushed, and embraced me in my journey of conformity to Jesus, and if you have been blessed to know her as a friend, you have been changed too. That’s what God’s representatives do to people on earth.

She gives herself so completely to her people. Our children can’t comprehend it now, but to have such a God-devoted mother is launching them into a difference making life that will count for eternity. I can’t comprehend it either, but to have such a loving, respectful, submitted wife frees me to soar and love her with all that I am, to the glory of our God!

Many women have done excellently, but you, @emdalton429, by FAR surpass them all. You shine brighter than any lily (or sunflower) of the field could ever dream. Grateful that I am yours and you are mine. Happy birthday! [yes, it was yesterday but these things take me a while...] by @j_e_dalton

I don’t post often, but this guy’s birthday is a good excuse to start again. Looking forward to the terrific two’s!! There is so much love and support around this kid, but no greater fan and love than from his mother @emdalton429. Love watching the beautiful surprises come up in raising this family with you babe! by @j_e_dalton

What a year! To celebrate the birth of our fifth, I can’t resist also celebrating my bride who birthed this incredible boy one year ago, today!! What an incredible experience watching this guy and his contagious joy and contentment. So much love overflows from his siblings into his little growing heart, and his face shows his love coming back. Thank you Lord for this blessed son, and may he be a steadfast protector of Your Truth and Love in a world that is opposed to your grace. Amen! by @j_e_dalton

I sure do love life with this woman, @emdalton429. Not sure our youngest knows what to do with being caught in the middle of a kiss sandwich though. #datenightonahorse #daltonpartyof7 by @j_e_dalton

This woman... met her when we were kids (at least it felt like it) and I don’t think she has changed a bit, except maybe more beautiful, loving (and lovable), patient, well-traveled, mother-ish, and Christ-like than back then. You still seem 22 to me babe. Looking forward to walking with you on this road toward holiness as the Lord blesses you in the next few decades, as He wills! Happy birthday, my beautiful bride. #loveyouforever #11yearthrowbackphoto by @j_e_dalton
