@matteblue.band 8/12/26 @beachlandcle One of my favorite parts of live music is when an artist is able to bring you into their world. You feel the emotions of the songwriter and it gives me chills. Matte Blue is a wonderful example of an emotive music experience. Their songs wrap you in a warm hug and there’s a sense of comfort whether their songs bring you to tears or make you want to get out on the dance floor! It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this special evening and capture the energy radiating through the room! 🎶✨ taken in The Beachland Ballroom and Tavern by @j_jacksonmc

lost my voice a month and a half ago and am just starting to be able to speak normally again. singing voice is still quiet and i won’t be back at full capacity for another few weeks, but in the meantime i’ve been enjoying playing this wonderful @earlywormnyc song “walked around the world” written by @blipthefifth, taken down a bit cause the upper register is a little strain-y right now. didn’t cop all the @william.h.curry voicings but oh well. also missing that sweet out of tune crunch of the old piano they had in their bushwick apartment, but the one at my parents’ place is decently fucked up and is doing a nice job keeping the pace. playing with will and henry from The Worm (that’s what i’d call them if i was a 1960s rock journalist) a week from today at nublu 151 along with our friend @markligonde. it will be a lot louder and more confrontational than this. pull up if you’re in the city! thx a mil by @j_jacksonmc
