I said goodbye to my best friend yesterday, my sweet girl, the larger part of my heart. The lord lent her to me for almost 16 years, the better part of my life. I was in love with her the second I brought her home, so if you knew me, you knew Tara. She went with me everywhere, Midwestern turkey trips, beach trips, mountain getaways. She was there. I held her in my arms kissing her cheek when she found peace. They say the price you pay for a good dog is a broken heart in the end, and mine is shattered. I hope the birds in heaven are prepared and can’t wait to see you run to me and meet on that bridge when I get there. by @j_mcg10

On a whim, one day, shotgun trip to Oregon for the last trigger pull of the year. Big shoutout to @valleyfowlguideservice for the hospitality and introducing me to the Pacific Northwest. I will be back, 2026 turkey season, out. by @j_mcg10

Our neck and shoulders are still recovering from the waiting game this turkey put us through. We laid prone for close to an hour making our move. But @edwall81 got to lay down comfy on his back while we waited. #drakewaterfowl #oltom #mossyoak by @j_mcg10

It was a great time having @edwall81 join us on our midwestern swing this year. Some pretty awesome stuff coming to look forward to. Including the good bad and ugly. #mossyoak #drakewaterfowl #oltom #apexammunition #retayusa by @j_mcg10
