Folks, most people don't even know they have core values. That's the problem.

The power of positivity is real.

You always have a choice on what value to assign a any given situation.

Go down one path: Everything is wrong. Everything is bad. You tell yourself you're not good enough.

Or go down the other: I'm perfect. Everything is just how its suppose to be. This is such a great learning experience.

Folks, every event is neutral. Always. It's the value you assign.

A crying baby in the middle of a work call looks like a disaster.

Until you look again.

Home with your son. Your wife cared for. Work still getting done. Same morning. New value.

I lost my dad almost a year ago. All I got was a thumbs up. It bothered me.

Then somebody stopped me cold: the man was on his deathbed. What if he was so choked up, so proud, that the best he could do was thumbs up? What if that was an act of courage?

The event didn't change. I did.
