What a blessing it is to be able to WALK across the stage. Even through the hardships of fighting against cancer and undergoing treatment. Not too long ago I thought this wasn’t going to be a possibility, whether due to disability issues of being in a wheelchair or the symptoms of chemo… but I did it! All by the grace of God as I would not have been able to do this alone. And my huge support group, my family, and my mother who has made everything possible for me to achieve my dreams. ~Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NIV) ~
“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.”
Going through what I’m going through, fighting against cancer, multiple leg surgeries & mobility issues, raised heath concerns with upcoming chemotherapy… it makes me look back and wish I could have done certain things differently. Wishing I never succumbed the habit of “waiting for the perfect moment.” When in all reality these perfect moments never come by & time just continues going on. Realizing things a bit too late, I’m here to tell everyone else not to commit the same mistake. Post those pictures you adore yourself in, commit to those plans you & your friends share, wear that cute dress with heals, do your hair, book those trips, try new foods/places/hobbies, … etc. There aren’t many things I regret too much in life, because everything has brought me here to this moment. But I want to share with everyone… take advantage of the time, body, and will you have now. Because that “perfect moment” you so deem as far away, can become your future if you allow your fears to subside.
