Después de todo (Symphonic Poem)

Tenía que componer y orquestar esta pieza en el plazo de 1 semana y no sabía por dónde empezar, hasta que recordé el célebre poema del mexicano Amado Nervo titulado "En Paz", que habla sobre cómo, después de todas las adversidades y complicaciones en la vida, uno se debe encontrar en paz cuando todo este por terminarse. Me pareció perfecto para contar una historia sobre todo esto, terminando en un espacio de paz. Gracias a Society of Composers por esta gran oportunidad y al gran @iagocomposer, siendo este su último concierto como parte del grupo.

I had to compose and orchestrate this piece within a week, and I didn’t know where to start, until I remembered the famous poem "En Paz" ("At Peace") by the Mexican writer Amado Nervo. It reflects on how, after all of life’s adversities and complications, one should arrive at a state of peace as everything nears its end. It felt perfect for telling a story about this journey, ultimately arriving at a place of peace. Thanks to the Society of Composers for this wonderful opportunity, and to the great @iagocomposer, this being his final concert as a member of the group.

Coming Of Age @aydan.hiill

He presenciado el trabajo de Aydan por más de 2 años en este mismo proyecto. Estoy sumamente agradecido por haber sido parte de tanto del proceso, tanto en la composición como en el arreglo de ciertos temas, y en el sound design y música de sus concept films como este mismo. Este album comenzó prácticamente cuando ambos comenzamos la universidad y me parece muy loco verlo por fin terminado y afuera. Aydan es uno de los artistas más talentosos que he conocido en mi vida y es uno de mis modelos a seguir por la pasión que pone no sólo en todo el proceso de hacer su música, sino también en grabar su contenido el mismo, editarlo todo, producir, mezclar y masterizar absolutamente todo. Es un artista del que nadie se puede perder. Me siento muy agradecido y orgulloso de este proyecto, vayan a escucharlo.

I’ve witnessed Aydan’s work on this project for over two years. I am incredibly grateful to have been part of the process, from composing and arranging certain tracks to creating the sound design and music for his concept films such as this one. This album began right around the time we both started college, so it’s wild to finally see it finished and out in the world. Aydan is one of the most talented artists I’ve ever met and one of my main role models. I admire the passion he pours not only into the music-making process but also into filming his own content, editing everything, and handling the production, mixing and mastering of absolutely everything. He is an artist you simply cannot miss. I feel so grateful for and proud of this project, go give it a listen. by @jaalvarezcomposer

Inanna

Aydan y Zwonaka me escribieron el mismo día de la grabación, ofreciéndome tiempo para grabar en estudio. Este fue el resultado de 40 mins de composición. Muchas veces, trabajar bajo presión me resulta en proyectos con los que quedo bastante satisfecho. Gracias a @samuellara.dr y @lfranklin.bass por interpretar esta pieza conmigo y a @aydan.hiill y @zwonakazwonakazwonaka por la ingeniería de grabación.

Aydan and Zwonaka wrote to me on the very day of the recording session, offering me some studio time. This was the result of 40 minutes of composing. Working under pressure often yields results I’m quite happy with.
