I’ve heard them say that October is such a dull month. I don’t think so at all🤔😂

It’s been a dark and drizzling Sunday today. Nevertheless, it was nice to put on my rubber boots and go to see what’s there in the forest. Well, there was a pink clover flower who had forgotten the summer is over, and… an old ugly elephant who had mostly sunken into the moss…🐘👀🫢

Had to spend another evening in the pine ridge forest, at the sunset time🧡 Guess this will be the last this kind of evening this year - the autumn rains will come tomorrow🌧️🩵

My forest find of today, a cushion-like blob is a Silk Cushion (Reticularia lycoperdon). At least I suppose🤔 And at least it was funny⚪️😁

We haven’t had any freezing cold nights yet, and that’s why there are not any spectacular autumn colors this time, “ruska” as we call it in Finnish🍂 I was happy to meet this baby oak tree today, it seems to have decided to turn yellow, no matter what others do😊

All my jars and freezers are already full of wild berries, but how on earth could I have left these beauties unpicked?🤭

Our river cruise on Moselle river was quite a culinary adventure; some of the dishes and wines were spectacular, some were fantastic and everything was just delicious.
Here’s an overview of something we experienced on Viva One, in random order😊
Thank you @vivacruises @olympiakaukomatkat and most of all @sauratravels

Happy grapevines and a trapped grapevine, flower colors and a winemaker’s tractor in Willingen. The Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, and finally dear hubby and I in a funicular cabin above the river Rhein😅 taken in Winningen by @jaanajok
