Barn Owl (Tyto alba)

The Barn Owl is one of the most widespread birds of prey in the world, instantly recognized by its heart-shaped face, ghostly pale plumage, and silent flight. Active mainly at night, it hunts with extraordinary hearing, swooping low over fields and meadows to catch small mammals. Often nesting in barns, church towers, and hollow trees, this owl has long been a symbol of mystery and wisdom across cultures.
