WIXQ Presents: Granddogs!

Granddogs is a palorcore Cerberus, furiously digging up the dark secrets of the past, searching for love and truth in a world on fire. Keys, three voices; full-throated anthems to whispered confessions; gnashing jaws around your throat.

Joined by the heartfelt and catchy songwriting of Jack Connor and the apple pie that is Monk Mode, this stacked show is free for students with an MU ID. Come on out! by @jacconnermusic

My new EP, HOAX, Is out everywhere 2/6. After Closure, I took a fair bit of time off of writing. I wanted to hold off on recording something new until I had something to say, and these songs embody some of what I have felt the strongest over the last year. The title will come to make sense in due time, but for now, grab your tickets to the preview show at West Art on 2/1, and be on the lookout for a pre-save link. See ya soon💊🌡️🔪🍬

Special thanks to @annasprout for the wonderful cover art, @nate_yager for being the best producer/engineer I could hope for, @taylorzeager for the master, and my wonderful studio musicians tagged on the last slide:) taken in Hiraeth by @jacconnermusic

Sue Fenstermaker was a radiant point of light in an ever-dimming world. There’s not a soul who met her who didn’t love her, nor a person she met that she didn’t love. A lifelong creative, a poet, a lover of art, music and nature, my grandmother was a champion of not only her own kids and grandkids, but of every one of her many “adopted” kids and grandkids, and of course her beloved friends. Sue lived a long, beautiful life, full of more love, fun, and bullshittery than I thought possible. Her final wishes asked that we sit around her, telling stories of this beautiful life, and with the help of some truly dear friends near and far (and a partner in crime who’d get to her in any life, in any place) we were able to make those wishes a reality, as comforting for us as I hope it was for her. I cannot begin to put into words how thankful I am to have gotten 22 wonderful years of knowing her. I am forever changed for the better, and we could all serve ourselves by living a little bit like her. I love you, Nonnie, see ya someday<3 taken in We'll Meet Again by @jacconnermusic

a bit behind on posting this (been a hell of a week and it’s barely wednesday) but i wanted to be sure to share my appreciation for some folks. to my lovely band, @caspian_sea_photo for being the best show photographer, @anasantiiii and @zoeynoblemusic for hopping on the bill, and everyone else who made this show possible, whether on stage, in the audience, or behind the scenes, thank you so very much. i am truly blessed to be able to create and perform music, and you all help make that possible.

as well, i feel in this moment it is incredibly important to mention that art (including music) is inherently political, and cowering to the whim of evil old men will never help anyone. we will never be free until ALL of us are.

be kind, stand up to oppression, and never lose your voice.
