El Cousteau is cut from a different cloth, and he’s walking Fashion Week and nationwide tours in it. 2024 has been a breakout year for the DC-grown multi-hyphenate, an inevitable result assembled by an intense recording regimen, the most effortless deliverance of IG-caption tailored lyrics, and an adrenaline-inducing stage presence that broke audience’s necks — mine included. All of this whilst performing alongside some of underground rap’s most exciting rising names in MIKE, Sideshow, and Niontay amongst others. Fresh off the unforeseen Twitter frenzy that stemmed from the release of his single “Words2LiveBy” featuring Earl Sweatshirt, Cousteau has been gearing up for the release of his long-anticipated album Merci, Non Merci, which is set to be his most expansive body of work yet. taken in Financial District, NYC by @jack.kissane
