2025 New Zealand Short Course Swimming Championships Auckland 21 -25 September wrap-upSorry for the late post but be late than never. This meets was about trying new things in racing which worked sometimes but things take time to make a habit. Also catching up with my friends which I hadn’t seen for ages.I’m really happy with my results with where I am at the moment. I came away with one Medal in 200 free which was a bonus Thanks to my girlfriend Jade that came over from Sydney to compete three races you did an amazing job so proud of youWell done to all of my teammates at this competition I’m so proud of all. 2025 New Zealand Short Course Swimming Championships Auckland 21 -25 September 2 days until New Zealand Short Course !!! 2025 Virtus Swimming World Championship Bangkok Thailand🇹🇭 24-29 August 2025 wrap up The 2025 Virtus Swimming World Championship was an amazing Championship event though my results weren’t the best because i fell sick on day 3 of competition with a saw throat and I wasn’t in the best condition because I only had 12 weeks in the water after I was out for 6 weeks with my broken wrist I still had an amazing experience. Thanks to the organisation from Virtus and Virtus Thailand you made these championships enjoyable for everyone involved. I’m super excited to be representing New Zealand for the 8th time in two weeks when racing starts in Bangkok Thailand🇹🇭at the 2025 Virtus Swimming World Championship. This is a 6-day competition from the 24th to the 29th of August. This is my 4th Virtus event and 8th time in a New Zealand team over my career, which started in 2019, 6 years ago. When the competition starts, it would’ve only been 12 weeks and 3 days since I got back in the pool training after I broke my wrist and was out of the water for 6 weeks. I have been training super hard since I have been back, but I haven’t set any unrealistic goals for myself for this competition. Amazing news this afternoon I got my Cast off my wrist and straight into the water for the first time in 6 weeks and it feels so great to be back in the water even though it’s just slow swimming and mostly kick at the moment Thanks for all the messages over the last six weeks. I am extremely excited to announce I’m off represent New Zealand again as part of a team of 12 to compete at the 2025 World Virtus swimming World Championship August 20 - August 30. In Bangkok – Thailand.🇹🇭Currently I’m still in a cast because of my fractured wrist but hopefully the cast will come off tomorrow (27/5) and I can get back in the water and full training.
