Picked this up at a local vintage shop. No label, so I had no idea exactly what it was, but the construction, details, and incredible aging immediately told me it was a special 1950s CHP-style jacket.

I posted it on my Story, and Leigh @freeandeasyvintage suggested that it could be a Sports Togs jacket by Seattle Woolen Company. The more I looked at it, the more his theory made sense. The details, especially the shoulder epaulettes reminiscent of those found on 1940s A-2 jackets, really seem to support it.

Still, what draws me to this jacket the most is the aging. The deep creases, wear, and character aren’t something that can be replicated—they were earned through years of real wear and riding.

That kind of history is what makes vintage so special. by @jack_in_black_bc

50s Buco J-24 horsehide one. After opening the DHL box I laid out this jacket on the floor and this, unlike anyother vtg one, looked like someone had just worn it and taken it off. I mean it had a shape of ‘not 2D but 3D’. And it also fits me perfectly like tailored one. by @jack_in_black_bc
