We are nearing my students first recital, and holy whoa could I not be more proud of this young man. He’s come a long way from Percy Jackson, now dipping into things like Sondheim. He will be attending my ol stomping grounds at St Ed’s, and I know he’s going to do wonderful things. Here’s to you @biggestbeaver by @jack_n_young

“Become someone who can’t be defined by the impossible through Dedication and Hardwork.”

In the time that Jack Nelson Young has spent in Crockett High School Theatre, he has been the very essence of those words. Dedication and Hardwork. In truth, there are little to no students in the Crockett High School Theatre Program who are as dedicated or hardworking as Jack Young, who always seemed to be completely locked in. And it certainly shows. During his time in Troupe 1924, Jack received a nomination for Best Lead Male Performer from the Heller Awards for Young Artists, won Best Performer at the district level of UIL, and received Honorable Mention Performer at UIL Bi-District. After highschool, Jack plans to attend St. Edward’s University in Austin to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, and to become a professional actor from there.

If Jack’s story should tell you anything, it’s this: if you’re passionate about something, pursue it to the fullest you can! That’s how you get results!

Senior year….

The weirdest year of my life. It was a mix of happiness and opportunities through trials and tribulations but overall I think I’m becoming someone I can be proud of through my hard work and people I surround myself with. I'm grateful for the people around me.
