I forget to check in with myself all the time.

But I keep coming back to this: we have to actually be present with ourselves to notice what’s going on in there. What wants to be seen. What needs to be felt.

There are a lot of ways to drop in. Breath is one of my favorites.

Give this a try with me. Breathe in through your nose. Hold it for a few seconds. Then let it all out with a long “shhhh.”

Do it 3-5 times. Notice how your body feels after. What do you notice?

Let this bring you back to yourself 🤍

🇬🇷 What the Greeks knew about sleep.

🏛️ At the Asclepieia, the healing sanctuaries of ancient Greece, sleep was the medicine, with music, breath, herbs and counsel around it.

Early Fall 26’ - Thank you @kallene.nyc for inviting me on this restorative little trip upstate! 🌞🌷🐝Such great energy - even better people and practitioners. So excited for others to experience what you all are creating! by @jack_p_bauer

healthy everyday breathing = nose breathing.

try this: put a hand on your belly and breathe in through your mouth. the belly barely moves, it’s all chest. now breathe in through your nose. feel your belly expand.

why nose breathing is the best:

• your diaphragm actually does its job
• your nose filters and warms the air
• it slows you down and calms your nervous system
• it makes nitric oxide, so you use oxygen better
• it helps fight off bacteria and viruses by @jack_p_bauer

Bali,

Thank you for a week on your sacred land, for allowing us to sit in reverence of your culture, your people, and your spirit.

This was my favorite day of our retreat. A day to cleanse, to purge, to purify, to pray, to make a wish. To release our patterns, our masks, what is trapped in our minds and our bodies in order to create space for what is meant to come.

May every wish made here find its way into fruition for these very special humans who I already miss so deeply.

Until next time 🇮🇩🙏🏼🌾🐒🌊🌴🙂‍↕️🌀 by @jack_p_bauer
