So blessed and grateful to have witnessed the Lord work at this place. Serving alongside these people I love was such a gift. I was brought low and refined, and seeing these high schoolers encounter the infinite, incomprehensible, unconditional love of Jesus was the greatest joy.

Our mission trip to Costa Rica was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had in my life. I’m so grateful to be part of our very special team. I went down expecting to teach the people of Costa Rica about the love of Jesus but they taught me more than I could have ever imagined. True joy isn’t found in material things we gather in this world but in the experiences we have, the people we’re around, and most importantly the perfect love of our Creator. I am blessed beyond measure and often still find ways to not be content. All the amazing kids we had the privilege to spend time with inspired me to constantly have a heart full of joy. My new friend taught me to never be envious of how others live, but be happy that God hand-crafted you for a special purpose. We also had the honor to participate in worship services led by the local churches. Even though the words were sung in a language I can’t fully understand, the Holy Spirit speaks a universal tongue. It was a great reminder that the God we serve here is the same God that is at work across the whole world. I was encouraged to keep praying and keep running the race, because we certainly saw answered prayers during our trip. God’s hand of protection and guidance was undeniable across this whole trip and I will never forget the many times we saw Him move. And, as a bonus, we had a whole lot of fun.
