We met at a concert by @jiluka_official, a Japanese visual kei metal band. Part of my street portrait project on Harajuku fashion.

“I grew up a bit in Ventura, but moved to Temecula and have basically spent my whole life there. I’m currently a collage freshman and major in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), I intend to become a speech therapist. I currently work at Target. Some of my hobbies consist of cosplay and roller skating, I like to practice doing tricks on my roller skates.

“I’ve listened to the music for some years, but never actually had anything to do the fashion, but nonetheless I was intrigued by it and started around 4 years ago. I started more in the gothic fashion, but it never really satisfied me, until I saw more of the Kei fashion.

“I was really inspired by Inori Yagami from Deshabillz, which is where the bandage wrap inspiration came from."
