Ilu - Available now$149Born from a fascination with aquatic diversity, sculptural form, and the quiet complexity of marine systems - Ilu introduces Spore’s invertebrate inspired category. Inspired by murex shells, nautilus fibonacci spirals, and tenticular undulations, its design blends multiple marine influences into a unified flowing silhouette. Clam-like grooves and barnacle-inspired tread establish a balance between subtlety and structure - natural geometries that feel effortless, but are deeply intentional.As the design calcified, these references merged into a continuous, unified silhouette.The result is a relaxed, sculptural mule that feels both familiar and otherworldly. Syrex - Available now$149Syrex is born as an evolution of Spore’s reptilian category - a maximalist expansion of my fascination with biology, science fiction, and prehistoric aesthetics as a foundation for design.I’ve always been drawn to predators engineered for precision. Alligators, snakes, and the Spinosaurus all share longirostrine piscivory jaws built to capture prey - a principle that translated directly into the design lines and flow of this silhouette.A spiked, scale-textured upper ornaments a performance mule, echoing the dragon like aesthetics of the spiny bush viper. Blending lethal aggression with fluid elegance, Syrex further defines and pushes Spore’s reptilian category forward. Neosaur - Available now$189For my 25th birthday, I wanted to do something special. The Neosaur is a tribute to my first obsession - dinosaurs, science fiction, and the natural world - the foundation of my design ethos.I typically design by hybridizing and collaging references in my head until an epiphany hits - merging heritage with the futuristic, contrasts into harmony.Over the past two years, I refined this silhouette, blending the primitive textures of snapping turtle leather cowboy boots with retro running sneakers. The result is a bold biomimetic design that feels both striking and familiar.The reason I wanted to create this is simple - I wish something like this existed when I was younger. Super excited to finally share some of the designs I worked on for @aliveform.bio ’s Spiralis collection and the process behind them. Honored to have the opportunity to work with @commeconcetion and contribute to the brand’s creative vision. The collection explores “super structures,” transforming heritage silhouettes—like the loafer—into a future-facing, sci-fi context. Each piece is 3D-printed in flexible resin with a parametric lattice structure for support and cushioning, and for the first time, integrating new transparency capabilities into the designs.ALIVEFORM is driven by the belief that design should evolve in harmony with nature—merging organic forms with data-driven innovation. Year 3Last night marked the culmination of my three-year journey celebrating the Class of 2023 Scholars at the @fashionscholarshipfund 87th Annual Awards Gala. For those of you that know me and my journey you understand how much all of this truly means to me. When I was 17, I decided that I wanted to get the Off-White × Takashi Murakami logo as my first tattoo. My way of signifying a permanent commitment to art and design. My first year attending the FSF Gala was extremely monumental and emotional for me; it felt like such a full circle moment. Interacting with the leaders and professionals who inspired me to pursue this path is a feeling that’s truly hard to put into words. Reassuring me that my passion, hard work, and patience will continue to establish my path forward. As I conclude my experience with the FSF, I recognize that my journey is just beginning, with new opportunities just over the horizon.Virgil Abloh’s vision touched millions of people to go after our own creative vision and I am forever grateful to have had the privilege to share a part of his everlasting legacy.Thank you so much to the @fashionscholarshipfund for this extraordinary experience I will never ever forget.
