CULTURE VULTURE CAME BACK BIGGER THAN EVER! 🌍💜

After our first session in May, Culture Vulture spread its wings once again, bringing together cultures, creativity, and self-expression at Paul Valéry! 🌈

On September 14th, our intercultural workshops brought students together to share their stories, explore identities, celebrate differences, and contribute to a collective archive of the incredible cultural diversity of our campus. 🎨🌎

A HUGE thank you to our fabulous facilitators @daddy_drag_king and @Jackie_Chatte for guiding these moments of creativity, exchange, and discovery! 💖

Thank you to @isimontpellier for organising this project, and most importantly, to all the amazing participants who brought their experiences, ideas, and energy into this shared space. Culture Vulture wouldn’t exist without you! 🫶

But the workshops were only the beginning… 👀

Because what happens when all this creativity and interculturality make their way onto the DRAG STAGE? 👑🔥

La Crypte fait son grand retour, et pour inaugurer sa premiere édition de la saison 3, les 3 sœurs et hôtesses @_carmen_dolores @slas__her et @kate_amary ont vu les choses en grand 🩸

Lux Scandal (@lux.scandal ): Lux Scandal est un.e drag gender-fluid du Sud de La France. Lipsync assassin, au langage physique explicite, parfois drôle, parfois spooky, souvent sexy, au genre imprévisible, Lux est toujours captivant.e et imprévisible.

Jackie Chatte (@jackie_chatte ): Jackie Chatte, c’est un maxi guerrier, un tigre, il est un brin flippant… mais il se laisse facilement dompter par les belles personnes. Il est toujours présent pour protéger les queers et répandre le Trans Love ⚔️ ✨️

THE SECRET'S OUT!

After our first session in May last semester, Culture Vulture is coming back and it's Bigger than ever!

Culture Vulture is a series of intercultural workshops as well as a Drag Show organised by @isimontpellier, by and for the students of Paul Valery, in order to create archives of the interculturality, vastly present on our campus.

The Workshops* (14/09) are facilitated by @daddy_drag_king and @Jackie_Chatte, and are followed by a Intercultural Drag Show** (15/09) , Hosted by @Lagoonazur and @Jackie_chtte with performances by the participants as well as our amazing local guest star @Jerico__hit!

*Inscriptions are necessary to participate in the workshops
**The Drag Show is Free and open to all students of Paul Valery!

CULTURE VULTURE arrive à l’Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3.

Un projet sur deux jours pour créer, se rencontrer et célébrer la diversité culturelle du campus à travers le drag, le corps et la performance.

Nous avons imaginé cet événement pour offrir aux étudiant·e·s — en particulier aux étudiant·e·s internationaux — un espace où s’exprimer autrement, partager son histoire, rencontrer d’autres parcours et construire quelque chose ensemble.

Au programme :

11 mai — Workshops
Ateliers animés par @jackie_chatte et @daddy_drag_king autour du mouvement, du maquillage et de la performance.
Les participant·e·s créeront une performance collective.

12 mai — Intercultural Drag Show
Restitution publique des créations, présentée par nos deux invité·e·s.

Nous sommes deux drag kings de Montpellier et nous venons bientôt à Bruxelles avec l’envie et le besoin d’une rencontre entre artistes drag.
Si tu es drag king, drag queer, et que tu ressens toi aussi le besoin de prendre du recul sur ton art, nous t’invitons à une rencontre sur deux jours pour réfléchir ensemble à nos pratiques.

Nous voulons créer un espace intime et sécurisant. Un moment pour le drag sans l’urgence d’un show. Se maquiller ensemble, partager nos parcours, parler de l’évolution de nos drags, de nos façons de produire, de la circulation de l’argent, du DIY. Se demander ce que
ça change de performer en ville ou en campagne.

✨ THROWBACK NUIT DE LA LECTURE ✨

En janvier, j’ai eu la joie de co-organiser Les Nuits de la Lecture 2026 avec le @mle.mtp sous la tutelle de @maeevaevd et @laure_mffr, et quelle soirée !

Le temps d’une nuit, les mots ont pris corps lors de lectures performées et de performances ! Un espace de partage, où la littérature s’est vécue autant qu’elle s’est entendue.

Nous avons eu l’immense chance d’accueillir des artistes magnifiques :
