A little mompreneur “ME time” at my friend @sandy_zazunaples hair salon on 5th Avenue in beautiful Naples FL 🤍

And a moment to just be Jackie? I needed it more than I realized.

Employee of the Month: Ally, representing Gulf Coast Lawn Care LLC

Qualifications: Arrives whenever she feels like it. Has never mowed a lawn. Claims the best chair in the office. Supervises every landscaping project from her heated seat 👑

The field crew asked how she won.
Management declined to comment.

Our hardest-working team members are still out making Southwest Florida landscapes beautiful but our Chief Barketing Officer would like everyone to know she’s available for treats and compliments.

Wait… you didn’t know LANDSCAPING is part of construction?! 👀🌴🚧

Happy National Construction Appreciation Week, September 14–18!

First, a huge salute to the men and women who show up every day and quite literally build America. From the underground work you’ll never see, to the structures, infrastructure and finishing touches you see every single day, it takes a whole network of skilled trades to bring a project across the finish line.

And yes, LANDSCAPING has a seat at that table.

I genuinely thought this was universally known until I started networking more. I’ve met people, even at construction events, who were surprised when I said landscaping is part of the construction process.

So here’s your little Landscape Construction 101 from your girl 🤓🌱

On new construction projects, landscape contractors can work alongside general contractors, developers, builders, civil contractors, irrigation contractors and other trades to help complete the exterior scope of a project.

Depending on the project, that can mean grading and site preparation, irrigation, drainage coordination, trees and plant material, sod, mulch, rock, landscape beds, hardscape elements and ultimately taking a site from construction zone ➡️ finished property.

And these pictures are a perfect example. 👆

This project didn’t start with pretty trees and fresh mulch. There was excavation, underground work, coordination, installation, equipment, manpower and a whole lot happening before the finished landscape ever showed up.

We don’t just maintain landscapes. We help BUILD them 🌴🏗️

So this week, Gulf Coast Lawn Care is saluting ALL the trades, especially the hardworking crews behind the scenes who make the finished product possible.

OMG, I’m still over the moon!!

This past Saturday was HOT but the host and the 2026 Latino Líderes Award recipients may have been even hotter 🔥😂❤️‍🔥

Yours truly was one of this year’s award recipients, and having the ICON herself, Marilyn “Sunshine” Santiago, host the event and hand me my recognition plaque made the moment even more special 🥹🏆

Being surrounded by some of Southwest Florida’s leading Latino entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders was truly surreal. These are people I admire, people I learn from, and somehow, people I now have the privilege of calling friends and sharing rooms with.

Women like Alejandra and Neyva, business-owning founders and entrepreneurial powerhouses in their respective industries, along with so many others I genuinely look up to.

To even be nominated for a 2026 Latino Líderes Award was an honor. Somebody pinch me 😭❤️‍🔥

And I have to say a special THANK YOU to every single person who took time out of their own life to show me love and support. 🥹🤍 Whether you showed up in person and were right there close to my heart, or you were supporting me online and right there in my mind 😂🫶 please know I felt it.

To the women who have encouraged me, poured into me, opened doors, spoken my name in rooms, supported my growth and reminded me to keep going, I see you. I honor you. And I’m so grateful for you 🤍

Most importantly, I thank God for every room, every relationship, every opportunity, every person placed along my path and every step of this journey. 🙏✨

Yesterday, I almost didn’t go to “A Day with Shalonda Washington” a Women’s Empowerment Event.

I was honored to be a sponsor for the event but as a small business owner in the middle of my busy season, I have SO many things going on that I almost canceled.

But then I thought… girl, you need ALL the motivation you can get right now!!

So I got “really beautiful” (in my daughter’s words) in an Amazon fit I’ve been dying to try out, put on my favorite Versace perfume, and decided it was going to be a “God Did It” kind of day.

From the moment I arrived, the energy was beautiful, upbeat violin music, local vendors, business owners, and so many inspiring women.

One of the vendors gave me a little pickle with random numbers and affirmations on it. Guess what number I got???

33 😭✨One of my favorite numbers because this is my Jesus year, I’m 33 now. 🙏 That little moment alone felt like a God wink.

And OF COURSE I cried during Shalonda’s speaking and the panelists’ keynotes @talishaconnects @_maritzadavila & @edisarevalo_ were among the local leaders and familiar faces, women I genuinely look up to. Hearing about the struggles, setbacks, and obstacles they had to overcome to become the women they are today was exactly the reminder I needed.

And they did it ALL in those fabulous heels 👠

I left feeling inspired, refreshed, and motivated and also left with TWO raffle wins!

A gift card to @tigressrestaurantrooftopbar AND a complimentary 2-night stay at @perryhotelnaples

I KNOW God heard me because I had literally told Gilbert that morning before he left for work that we were LONG overdue for a hot date night

And Ms. @shalondawashington_ herself reminded me of something I wholeheartedly believe:
When you bless others, God has a way of blessing you right back.

Yesterday was the boost my spirit needed. Thank you ladies 🦋💕
