@schecterguitarsofficial Guitar anyone?

Still love my traditional 6th string. Next guitar I want is a nice Telecaster to pair with my vintage Stratocaster. Every man wants to build a family deep down inside hahaha #music #metal #guitar by @jackiejakeofficial

While trying to learn the ending riff of “Into the everblack” I ended up coming up with a couple new riffs. We get inspired and then we inspire.

Something about that Old school

The OG metal sound holds up so much. This riff is in the key of C#. The riff itself is whatever but you can hear that aggression that’s just missing in certain modern sounds. Drop A is cool but it doesn’t scratch the Heavy Metal itch.

Do you play open hand, or closed?

Answer in the comments!

Can’t believe there’s still so much I can incorporate into my playing after 16 years of knowing this instrument. I’ll make some bass guitar videos soon! Keep jamming musicians, we need it!!!!

What instrument would you like to learn?

16 years of playing guitar is transferring over to Bass quite well. I especially love the feeling of when a technique that you’ve seen a million times finally clicks and makes sense. Bass is just so fun, it plays a huge role in how music makes people feel.

Do you like knowledge?

There’s more to it than that! But in my experience you’ll find clean guitar presets clashing with drums way more often than distorted guitar presets. Music is the gift that keeps giving, and today it gave me a new drum vat to fool around with.

Do you enjoy a crazy bassline?

Whether it’s funk, Metal, hip-hop, or just rock, sometimes the bass can go wild and have some serious character. Go check out @1stewarttuttle, he did a great job at recreating “If” by Pink Floyd. What should I try next as an upcoming bass player?

Bass or Guitar, what are you about?

Drop a 🫨 in the comments if an instrument has ever made you feel loved. My guitar or bass may have never bought me dinner, but they definitely haven’t cheated on m either.

Are you a hunch back musician?

Confidence and discipline! Even after 16 years of playing guitar, I’m still shaking off bad habits. The road of a musician/artist truly never ends. What’s the point of being the next Michael Angelo if you look like a turtle on stage?

Would you like some social core?

I remember seeing Rings of Saturn at the House of Blues on Hollywood blvd when I was 18, we had a chance to talk to the guitarist and his exact words were “I don’t think you could hear me, probably why it sounded so good”. What a fun Metal show! Metal heads are usually super cool people.
