✨8th Annual Emporia Ladies Open✨
It was our Renaissance year, going back to a one-day two-round tournament. Although it was smaller, the same amount of camaraderie, competition, + fun was had! It was a special year, too, because I got to see my co-TD on the podium!!!

It’s a great honor to host ELO + create a safe space for women to enjoy disc golf. 🩷🥏

Thank you, D, for wanting to do this together year after year! 🫶🏻 is this the only picture we got together? LOL.

Thank you to our sponsors for making this event possible.

✨ a week in the life of a (part time) marshal ✨

So grateful for the opportunity to be part of Am Worlds. Looking forward to hosting in ‘28! Always so happy to see Beks, especially when she’s asking for free hats, and catch up with the PDGA boyz.

Disc golf is…life?

-You can fit three canopies in any vehicle.
-A-Team 🎪
-Would you rather not feed ducks or alligators? 🐊
-Twistee Treat was worth packing up a whole Airbnb in 15 mins.
-Rain delays are more fun with a crew. (Could be even more fun with kazoos)
-FL disc golf courses are WAY different than KS.🌴
-Look out or you might step on lizards, snakes, or tortises.
-Ty’s part time gig is deflating air mattresses.

Course directing for the PDGA Tim Selinske US Masters Championships was a blast. The team did a phenomenal job. 👏🏻 So grateful for the opportunity @tydiscs + extremely thankful to @cameronj52085 for putting up with me for the week! by @jackiermorris

TLDR: The coolest part of disc golf is the community. I am a firm believer that college disc golf is where the game will grow. 🫶🏻

My first College Disc Golf Nationals is one for the memory book! It was a long week, but it filled up my cup in more ways than one.

Traveling with the ESU Team was an adventure. Thanks Eric for allowing me that experience. They were quick to treat me like one of them, offer help with various tasks, and entertain my game night ideas. It’s been a while since I’ve laughed as hard as I did last week (rewind to Maya and me trying not to wake up our whole room 😂). You’ve got a great group, Eric. Congrats again to you and the team on bringing a National Title back to Emporia!

Throughout the week, I had a few reunions with people who were there at the beginning of my disc golf career. It was so nice to see them in person for the first time in ages! Always nice to reminisce and reflect, and to see where people’s paths have taken them. Zach and Coby used to sleep on my couches when they toured - now they’re coaching. 10 years ago, I don’t think we could have predicted that. Congrats again, Zach, on you and your men’s and women’s teams’ wins last weekend!

I also had the opportunity to meet new people and those I’ve been working with virtually. I LOVE getting out of the office and on the ground for this reason. Genuine connections, getting to know people face to face without the nuances, is the foundation of humanity. It makes me happy to hear others’ stories, their whys, catch the glimmers in their eyes as they talk about what they’re passionate about, and be their authentic selves in the wild.

IMO, the game’s growth will rely heavily on getting it into high schools and colleges. The more it becomes known among our youth, the greater the growth will be in the long run. I’m ecstatic about the future of disc golf. Once again, kudos to you and your team Alexis!

Wrapped up my 2025 event season over the weekend! 🥏

This year, I had the opportunity to host the College Disc Golf Mid-American Regionals, Junior Worlds, two B-Tiers, and three Fundraisers. I was also lucky enough to marshal at US women’s, visit 7 states, and share disc golf with 400 kids and adults through clinics. 🫶🏻

Looking forward to ‘26! Catch me behind the scenes on the DD DG Auction Page until then. 🤪 by @jackiermorris
