What you are looking at is an "in progress" piece of Tunisian crochet work that is going to be a table runner. It doesn't look like much yet but I believe it will when it is finished. After the base runner is completed, I will go back with a contrasting color and simulate Sashiko stitches on top. The yarn I'm using is a cotton/acrylic blend called Premier Cotton Fair in indigo blue. I am holding 2 strands together. As you probably know, Tunisian crochet curls up as you are working but the border and blocking will fix that. The pattern is from a Crochet World magazine, @crochetworldmag, February 2023 #sipteaandepp @nordiccrafter @stitchingnotes. by @jackiesdaisies

Finished my little basket/tray. 2 mm cord from Hobby Lobby is nice to crochet with and it made a pretty good basket. It is just meant to hold a few sewing tools while I watch TV but you would need a 4 or 5 mm cord to make a stiffer basket for heavier items. All-n-all, I'm very happy with it. by @jackiesdaisies

Hello; Posting a couple pics of a new project I started to use up some stash. This is from a pattern by Sandra at @sandracherryhrt called Butterflies Cushion; only I'm not making a cushion. I'm making this into a curtain for my bathroom. The 2nd photo is sort of upside down because of how I took the picture and also because I'm working bottom up. Once I block it, it will look much better. I'll post again as I finish a few columns. I need it to be about 30 or 32 inches wide so I need a few more columns. 🤭. We are currently getting some very cold weather, even for North Florida. This afternoon we had snow flurries! Recently I started a new crochet blanket and it's getting big enough to keep me warm while I'm working on it. So that's my plan tomorrow - staying in, making a slow oven baked stew and working on my blanket. Hope you find time to get some crafting done. by @jackiesdaisies

Hello fellow crafters. I just finished hand sewing the zipper for this little gem I made for my granddaughters' birthday (8 yrs old). This is the smallest bag of the Square Dance Bag trio by Minki Kim (@zeriano) and it came out so cute if I may say so. I was afraid the zipper wouldn't work but went for it anyway. It was 7 inches but the pattern called for a 9 inch. I sewed the lining and finished the bag and left the zipper for last since it didn't need to be enclosed in the lining. But I am very happy I got it to work for this tiny bag because it upped the cuteness factor. I think she will really like it. I used all scraps from an old fabric line - I think it was called "Happy Days"? I'm not sure but I really liked it. ❤️ by @jackiesdaisies

I completed another Corfu bag from a beautiful pattern by Natalia Kononova of @outstandingcrochet. In the U.S. it's a little difficult to get many of the UK yarns called for so I used LionBrand 24/7 DK, which I love but it really doesn't hold up well for bags as it pills something awful. 🙁. I need to find something else compatible and long wearing. And also comes in a lot of colors - another drawback for U.S. yarns, especially in DK or sport weight 🙁. Anyway, this took me a good 8 months of evening crocheting to complete so I'm glad I'm finished and complete other projects, waiting in the wings. by @jackiesdaisies

Finished a challah cover for my daughter. I'm proud of it but I am not a professional, nor do I claim to be. I just love to sew gifts for my family and I try my best each time. My quilting stitches aren't perfect but it is definitely "wrought in love". I wish I could find more of the Jewish fabric with the small motifs but I can't. I bought a few yards many years ago and did not realize it would not be possible to buy more. So I've been saving every scrap I can. I hope you like it.❤️. @jackie_roams. by @jackiesdaisies

Well, I finally found a few minutes this morning to finish this little item I copied from a tutorial made by Julia @juliesfarmhouse - it's this little wraparound sewing band with a pretty pincushion for my sewing machine. It appears my old kenmore is a bit smaller than her Juki but I made it work. I'm ok with it but my first try at stuff is usually not going to be my finished masterpiece.☺️. So, one more try may get it to my satisfaction. ❤️❤️. by @jackiesdaisies

Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday. I've been doing several things but managed to get a little sewing time in. I am working on a wrap-around pincushion for my sewing machine. I will have to finish tomorrow though - this is as far as I got. Not real happy with my heart so I might start over on that piece. This little project is based on one by @juliesfarmhouse. I finished crocheting this bag a few years ago but could not find the proper handles to finish it. But I kept checking my resources and I finally found it a few days ago. Just in time to stuff it full of another project I'm working on. The pattern for this bag is called Triple Amusement which I found "amusing", 😉. The pattern is by Sheryl Thies and is called Get hooked on Tunisian Crochet. by @jackiesdaisies

This is my second Square Dance Bag by Minki Kim @zeriano. This is the medium size and I made it for another granddaughter. I'm pretty happy with this one. I think by the time I finish my next one, I will have it perfect. 🧵🪡. Good thing I have 7 granddaughters😂.
And of course I have 7 grandsons. They are getting hard to sew for unfortunately. I know they would not want a purse. 😊. by @jackiesdaisies
