Here’s a shout out to alll you moms DEEP into this moto thing…I enjoy watching you all dive in and get your hands dirty and envy all of you who still have years left with your littles❤️ enjoy it, soak it up, because one day you’ll wake up and they will be grown.

Chasing dreams on their own.

There were days that were so hard when @jessemx67 and I started racing. I was a single mom, like the real single, no child support and 100% parent 100% of the time. I worked, still work, 60+ hours a week and ran NorCal Cobra. There were no days off. There was not only Jesse’s bikes, the van, the motorhome, the regular household mom things like dinner, Laundry and the grocery store but ALSO most of NorCals mini racers to support.

We didn’t have much, We ate ALOT of PB&Js, but we did it.

There were times I just wanted to quit, throw in the towel, take up soccer etc. at midnight rebuilding engines just so we could make the race the next morning but I’m telling you….All those memories with your littles HIT when they grow up. Every trial, every mistake, every lesson, and every win was worth it!

They weren’t kidding when they said don’t blink.

I want it all back but of course with the knowledge I have now.

I don’t know what Jesse’s racing future looks like but I’m gonna take advantage of this short window in his recovery to reminisce. I’m going to enjoy the bike work, the long days, the chance to be his mom again in the flesh and not half way across the country….simply because I do miss it and I don’t know if I will get this chance again to be a FULL BLOWN Moto Mom 🏁❤️

PS. Pressure is off a bit these days because Jesse now has dinner duty 😅 and I have my wonderful husband @jakeoakley5 who loves us and helps supports this life ❤️

We all know I would have rather been at Hangtown watching my kid chase dreams (he’s set for Surgery on his arm Tuesday) but instead @jakeoakley5 got to spend our Anniversary or what we call 6-7 day which was wildly not planned that way 😆day on the trail ❤️ Happy 6th Anniversary @jakeoakley5 !
