13 years at CNE finally come to an end. I want to thank God for allowing me to meet all these wonderful people. If I got a picture with you last night you made some sort of positive impact on my life that you may or may not know about at some point in those 13 years that I have not forgotten. There was a lot of people I missed that I was looking for though sadly. by @jacksoncrawfordxc

Part 3 here we go
I wasn’t what I wanted to be this season started off solid at Felicity but continuing on I just couldn’t perform at all I consistently settled in and was plagued by the idea that I wasn’t good enough all my race stats showed low effort and I thought I lost my passion for the sport over my track injury no one but Avery knows I wanted to quit at this point I’m tearing up writing about it but every weeks underperformance would really mess me up I had a lot of practices go bad and a lot of races go even worse I remember after 2 miles at Cedarville I just wanted to step off the course and leave the sport right there but Avery kept me fighting it took up to districts to really feel the apart again I wasn’t ready to be done I just wanted to finally perform and I didn’t let my mind stop me I finally broke 17 which felt really good it took a lot prayer a lot tears and a lot of talk with Avery but I found myself again and I found my love for the sport again that I was really just close to giving up I wanted to throw my spikes away I wanted to get rid of my watch and I didn’t want to see a track ever again but I knew God was putting me through a slump for a reason and I learned a lot going into regionals I told everyone I wasn’t done yet I wasn’t ready for it to be over I wasn’t done with highschool cross country just yet I knew it would be close I but I knew I could make it I kept myself calm talking to my teammates and praying I had this mini plastic Jesus my grandma gave me that I kept rubbing whenever I got nervous and walking up to the line I just kept praising God and was ready to run I’ll spare the details of the race but I constantly wanted to settle in and stopped myself I had a very bitter sweet ending to my XC career being 1 spot off state but I knew whether I made it or not I was just blessed to be there in general and I was calmer than I thought I could ever be with that result I don’t think it’s hit me yet that it’s over but I sit here today happy that I flipped that coin happy that I didn’t quit and thankful to every person that got me into and helped me in this sport

Hit the character limit on the last and wasn’t close to done so part 2
Kept getting better and better trying to catch Ryder but it didn’t happen again I finished the season with a nice PR of 18:22 and just couldn’t wait for next fall to hit to do it all again Sophomore year is when I started having issues before the season started I got a knee injury playing in a basketball open gym that I never should’ve been at that affects me to this day I kept running but I was plagued by a nauseas feeling that I dealt with for 14 months in a row that I just couldn’t solve I had some great meets but just couldn’t improve as much as I wanted to I finally got my first first team this year but I was less excited for the upcoming season because I was losing so many important teammates to me I had lost Noah the year before and now Ryder, Luke, Nick, Peter, etc were graduating and I just wasn’t ready for them to be gone we won our second league title with me on the team this season and overall got out three peat that we fought for all year with the season ending I knew I just lost my training teammates and wasn’t sure how the team would look next year going into junior year me and bacon were ready to go see how hard we could carry the team which wasn’t as much as we wanted this season was the worst my nausea ever was and I just couldn’t race how I wanted to it made me really mad how much I underperformed consistently and it was the first time I ever wondered if I made the wrong decision quitting soccer I had a close call at districts this year and was close to selling in the final .1 and making regionals but I did it and went on to my first regional appearance I was by myself but I wasn’t scared I prayed pre race and was just ready to go and perform and I had a very good debut for Troy and didn’t let the course beat me but I still didn’t qualify for state but going into next season that was all I wanted was to make my first state appearance because Ryder never made it Going into senior year I had followed my training schedule well but after an injury at the end of track I wasn’t in the shape I wanted to be in Jacob had done a great job training me for 2 years but I still (Part 2) by @jacksoncrawfordxc

ALL GLORY TO GOD I couldn’t have taken even a step into this sport without my Lord and savior Jesus Christ

Thank you cross country for it all, If you told me 6 years ago I was going to quit soccer for cross country I would’ve laughed at you. I remember that first practice with Trenton and AJ, I skipped the first one because I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to do it but those 2 and Ryder convinced me to come out. It went well but it wasn’t soccer I kept coming because I wanted a sport I could finally do with my brother and I knew it would make me better at soccer I grew to love the sport even though I didn’t understand it I remember that first meet at Ripley that was going so good till I hit that hill and puked everywhere I remember AJ passing me and walking with 200 meters left and hearing Moe yell at me to finish I remember going up and hugging my mom after even with a strand of puke hanging off my lip I never would’ve thought I’d be writing this post at that moment from then on I kept trying to race strong every meet except Goshen lmfao real ones know how that went I started getting pretty mad when Lucas and Trenton started consistently beating me it wasn’t a feeling I had ever really felt in a sport before I didn’t care when they were better soccer players than me but now I cared I couldn’t do much about it 7th grade going into 8th grade I was nervous because I hadn’t even ran a mile in the off season but stepping up to that line in ripley I felt a fire in me I had never felt and was no longer nervous and ran a great race and never looked back I kept PR’ing over and over and then AJ broke his finger he made a promise to me that when he came back he would quote “Stomp me” and I preceded to drop 45 seconds next meet and that’s when I knew I had something in this sport going into league I got 4th and was just thrilled for freshman year Starting freshman year I had my first ever off season of good training and I was talking so much crap to Ryder that I was going to beat him and what do you know I started Highschool off 1-0 against my brother and I thought maybe I could keep it up but he never allowed that to happen in an actual school 5k again I just(part 1) by @jacksoncrawfordxc

All Glory to God

Well, that ends another season of XC Troy was definitely an experience it was nice getting to go for myself instead of having to watch Ryder lmfao
I’m happy with this race this course is known to slow you down and I beat some people I’m not used to beating and I definitely performed well

Overall, I accomplished a lot of my goals this year but my times this year irk me. It’s like I didn’t perform on every good course I had and it makes me mad

The season started with a bang winning Felicity and beating Ben(who proceeded to smoke me every time I saw him) but after that I was sick at CCD, Burg time got changed, Centerville was a mud fest, west Union was muddy, I was sick at league, and was killed by allergies at districts. Every time I was ready to go have a good time I was fried but I still accomplished a lot of my goals

I won a race
I got runner of the year
I made it to regionals
This was pretty much the main stuff I wanted to do so I’m still happy with the season but my lack of running a great time is going to follow me to next year

I have to give thanks to my coaches and a lot of the guys who pushed me and gave me advice throughout the season
Thank you Ms Lindley, Billy, Ben, David, Ryder, Jacob and everyone who made an impact on my season

Allergies got the best of me today smh this course is so flat but every year it’s just so dry I can never run good here
Doesn’t matter though still qualified for regionals
Came through mile 1 8th place at 5:07 feeling great but after that I kept coughing and almost sold
