When you sponsor Young at Heart, you’re investing in a healthier, more connected Jackson.

Sponsorships help Jackson Heart Foundation advance projects like @museumtrail, where construction is currently underway on the Capitol Green Connector. This next phase will extend the trail into Jackson’s urban core, creating safe, accessible connections between downtown, the Museum District, parks, local businesses, and the future Arts District Connector.

By supporting Young at Heart, you’re helping create more opportunities for walking, running, biking, and daily movement while investing in public spaces that improve cardiovascular health, quality of life, and access to the places that bring us together.

Another amazing year of impact for heart health, made possible by our wonderful sponsors, supporters, and community partners!

It was inspiring to gather for Young at Heart: Gather on the Green at the Mississippi Museum of Art’s Art Garden, one of the many public spaces and cultural destinations that will be connected through the Museum Trail.

This year’s event celebrated Jackson Heart Foundation’s continued investment in public health infrastructure, including the Capitol Green Connector in Downtown Jackson, along with wellness programming, research, and education focused on creating healthier lifestyles.

A special thank you to Chef Chaz Lindsay and Chef Joe Cravens for an incredible four-course dinner, to @msmuseumart for a beautiful setting, and to @freshcutofjxn and @davainelighting for helping make the evening so memorable.

As we look ahead, extending the Museum Trail through the Arts District is one of our major goals for the coming year. This next phase will strengthen connections between downtown cultural destinations, businesses, neighborhoods, and public spaces while creating even more opportunities for walking, biking, recreation, and everyday movement.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, braced the weather, and continues to believe in building a healthier, more connected community in Jackson! taken in Jackson, Mississippi by @jacksonheartfoundation

Jackson Heart Foundation invests in public health infrastructure like the Museum Trail and the Keith Haring Fitness Court, creating free and accessible opportunities for movement, recreation, and connection.

These spaces are part of a broader effort to make heart health more approachable and connected to the way we live every day. This Thursday evening, we look forward to gathering with our sponsors and guests at Young at Heart: Gather on the Green to celebrate the people, partnerships, and projects helping move this work forward. taken in Jackson, Mississippi by @jacksonheartfoundation

What an exciting day for the Museum Trail and the LeFleur Museum District!

Today’s groundbreaking for the Lakeland Drive Pedestrian Bridge celebrates a big step toward making it easier and safer to walk, bike, and move between the museums, parks, trails, and outdoor destinations that make this area so special.

As Mayor John Horhn shared, the project will help connect many of Jackson’s “crown jewels.” For Jackson Heart Foundation, that means stronger connections across the Museum Trail network and more opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy the district through recreation.

We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone with the LeFleur’s Bluff Conservancy, LeFleur Museum District, Mississippi Department of Transportation, Great City Mississippi Foundation, and all of the partners helping bring this connection to life. taken in LeFleur Museum District by @jacksonheartfoundation

The Capitol Green Connector is moving forward, and community volunteers are helping bring this new section of the Museum Trail to life.

During the Community Planting Day, volunteers added new trees and landscaping along the trail, creating future shade, habitat, and a more welcoming route into Downtown Jackson. Their time and energy made a meaningful difference as construction continues.

This progress is supported by the Capitol Complex Improvement District, Entergy Mississippi’s Environmental Initiatives Fund, the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust Fund, and the Community Foundation for Mississippi through Jackson Heart Foundation. Special thanks to SoHo Landscaping for preparing the soil and plants for the day.

Join us on October 1 for Young at Heart: Gather on the Green as we celebrate the projects, partnerships, and people helping build a healthier and more connected Jackson! taken in Jackson, Mississippi by @jacksonheartfoundation
