I heard The Lord tell me “You will teach my children and if you do what I tell you I will supply all your needs.”

When I heard The Lord tell me that I thought it was something completely different… I became a Teacher at a school, a mentor to children and a coach to young men. I couldn’t be more thankful, honored and ready for whatever God has for me. No matter what level of fame I will never forget the name Jesus.

I can now be the person I wish I had growing up to everyone who God places in front of me. I realized it’s not about me and it never was..it’s about HIM.

FORGIVE ME, for falling in love with this game

FORGIVE ME, for starting so late

FORGIVE ME, for not having all the resources

FORGIVE ME, for only having a ball with no rim

FORGIVE ME, for not being gifted as other athletes

FORGIVE ME, for the work ethic and mindset of believing myself and having confidence

FORGIVE ME, for not being over 6’0

FORGIVE ME, for wanting to have fun with the game

FORGIVE ME, for being competitive

FORGIVE THOSE, who misinterpreted my energy with my personality

FORGIVE ME, for whatever light you gave me and I didn’t give back to you

FORGIVE ME, for always giving my best

FORGIVE ME, for late nights and early mornings

When you wanna give up in life and feel like you have no one there #alwayzremember Jesus is in the storm with you. It’s only a matter time when you decide to wake him up ask him to save you and he’ll bring you peace.

(Baptism does not save you)

Thank you God for not giving up on these two along with myself and showing us why we go through things that aren’t always comfortable 😌

Beyond Humbled, Honored and overwhelmed with Love that Jesus, @tylera11_ and @chloe_sakalas trusted me with this assignment. I love you all 3 and I pray that this a seed I get to watch grow and be apart of the journey. Lord we are your vessels ❤️

Okay…this one is a little personal and emotional for me. 🥺

I already told y’all that the Lord told me “you will teach my children” and i didn’t know what exactly he meant by that because I’m not cut out to be behind that podium 😅.

I heard the Lord tell me this time that “I know you didn’t have anyone to do this with you but I TRUST YOU to do it with others” 😌 This isn’t about basketball… this is about God placing that one person in your life that believes in you and making a difference and then allowing God to do the rest.

I’m not saying that no one ever believed in me but, the time, mentoring, and energy I got to put into these kids this past summer doing what I love to do 🏀 I know the difference between rooting for someone vs being apart of the journey. God I want to say thank you for trusting me and I can’t wait to see whoever else you place in front of me 🙏🏾.

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.””

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental health is spend time with the people who make you laugh. Check on your friends. And don’t be afraid to answer the group chat.
