Today marks 5 years as a licensed Realtor — and what a five years it’s been.

I’ve navigated some of the most volatile market swings in recent memory, and that experience has taught me how to guide buyers and sellers through any type of market, not just the easy ones.

I’m grateful to @atpropertiesind and @nottinghamteamindy for the mentorship and support that helped shape me into the agent I am today.

But more than anything, I’m grateful to the clients and friends who have trusted me with one of the biggest decisions of their lives, and to everyone who has sent a referral my way. My business runs on relationships and word of mouth and I don’t take that trust lightly.

August: the month that held so much hope. The month we were supposed to hear our baby’s strong, steady heartbeat.

Instead, we were shown a faint heartbeat and told that our pregnancy would likely end in loss.

We spent the following week praying that maybe our baby would beat the odds, that they would be our miracle. But at our next appointment, we were told our baby no longer had a heartbeat.

It was my greatest joy and, in the same breath, my deepest grief.

One thing I’ve realized through this experience is that pregnancy loss isn’t talked about enough. So many women/couples walk through this kind of loss and it can often be difficult to understand the depth of the grief that comes with it.

The moment you see those two pink lines, everything changes. You begin putting your baby first, and you start dreaming about who they will become. You fall in love with someone you haven’t even met yet.

And then, somehow, one day you are pregnant and the next, you’re not.

It’s whiplash. It’s heartbreak. It’s grieving a future you had already begun to love.

Our baby’s time with us was far too short, but they were deeply loved, deeply prayed for, and will always be a part of our story. 🤍

I didn’t think I would share this. It feels incredibly vulnerable, and we are still very much in the thick of it. But if sharing our story can help change the fact that pregnancy loss isn’t talked about enough, or help even one person feel a little less alone, then I feel it’s worth being vulnerable.

And while this season has held some of the deepest grief we’ve ever experienced, it has also held so much love. Through the heartbreak, we have felt the Lord’s comfort, peace, and presence in ways that have carried us through moments we didn’t think we could walk through.

Our community has also truly shown up for us. We are so grateful for every prayer, message, hug, meal, and person who has loved us and loved our baby alongside us. We will never forget the way we have been cared for and surrounded by love during this time.

Hard to imagine a better year than what 29 brought. My bachelor party, wedding, and honeymoon to multiple vacations, golf rounds, and family get together, to a Hoosiers national championship. I feel like the luckiest man alive. God’s grace is all over my life and it is truly humbling. But I know 30 is going to be even better, because today is all we got. Love 🤟🏼♥️. by @jacksonjuerling

The Indiana Hoosiers are NATIONAL FLIPPIN’ CHAMPS! 🏆

You couldn’t have told me in a thousand years that this would have been possible. Especially within the few years that @jamesbomba_ was on the team. Growing up going to IU football games you would hear about the lore of the teams my uncle Matt played and coached, and that our grandpa played on. You would have thought they were National Champions, but success in an IU football program was just making it to a bowl game. I remember the excitement of having 5 wins going into the Bucket game with the hopes of beating Purdue to make it to a bowl. That was the epitome of success. We would have more exciting football games on the hill outside the stadium or in Knothole Park in the south endzone when we were kids. Then it turned into going to the games just to tailgate and then leave at half time to go party some more. No one cared about IUFB. Until they did. We watched the stadium go from people giving away tickets to people not being able to find tickets. In less than two years. It’s hard to wrap your head around. I can’t wait for the movie to be written and tell my grandkids one day what we got to experience.

To say we are now National Champions still feels like something beyond reality. The gratitude I have for being able to experience so much of this run cannot be expressed. @jamesbomba_ and @kcbomba went above and beyond to make sure our whole family was able to be together for as many games as possible. And I know our grandpa Bob was with us for every snap. I know he has the biggest smile in Heaven right now. Nothing meant more to him than IU football and his family.
