A little appreciation post for Sam (our manager)

If you’ve ever been into Jack’s, there’s a good chance you’ve met Sam. And if you have, you’ll probably understand exactly why this post is being written.

Sam is one of those people who just makes a place better. Their hospitality, their personality & ability to make people feel welcome, and the way they go about everything with a smile on their face are all things that make Sam so special.

Running a small business is very difficult, and having people around you who genuinely care, go the extra mile, and make the whole thing that little bit easier is something you never take for granted.

Sam is not only an amazing manager, but an absolute legend of a human being and I feel very lucky to have Sam as part of the Jack’s team.

🍕 DADS & DOUGH!

We’re bringing you a hands-on, create-your-own pizza experience for dads and their little ones, hosted at Jack’s Pizza in Brighton!

You’ll get your own pizza base to share with your little one, choose your toppings and get stuck into creating your very own pizzas together.

While the pizzas are cooking, there’ll be colouring activities for the little ones before everyone sits down to enjoy what they’ve made!

And of course, you’ll be doing it all alongside other local dads and their kids.

A brilliant opportunity to spend some quality time with the kids, meet other dads, and create a beautiful memory together.

Here’s everything you need to know:

📍 Jack’s Pizza, Brighton

Advice to anyone running a business: nail your core operation.

Whatever it is you actually sell or do, get that part running smoothly.

For us, that’s making pizza. With the right people, processes, training and equipment, making the pizza should become the easy bit.

Because there’s enough going on outside of that to keep you busy.

The suppliers. The staff. The finances. The customers. The maintenance. The admin. The problems you never saw coming.

There will always be fires to put out.

So make sure the thing at the centre of your business isn’t one of them.

Nail the core operation, then give yourself the headspace to deal with everything else.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt so far. 🍕
