The Edwardian Era, also known as La Belle Époque, liked its jewelry light as lace.

1901–1910. A new century, a new king, and a new taste for luxury. King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra helped set the tone for an era of grand houses, lavish entertaining, elaborate dress, and jewelry to match. Their court became a stage for fashion, with royal appearances closely watched by a society fascinated by style and spectacle.

Across much of Europe, these same years were known as La Belle Époque, the “beautiful era.” Ten years of jewelry worth remembering.
