Trip to celebrate my dad’s 73rd and daughter’s 3rd birthday 🎂 grateful for this special trip. On Father’s Day, my dad had a bad fall into a canal, blacking out and almost drowning. That same day my cousin left this world. I am so grateful my dad encouraged us to take time as a family to take this trip together … another one I initially said no to because of work and life. As one of M’s fave movies says, “Ohana means family. No one gets left behind.” (Lilo & Stitch)

I regret thinking I had more time. I regret missing the cousin reunion because work… life…I can’t even remember anymore why.

My dear cousin Cody Lee Sharp.
We played with fireworks in the streets, and I have the best memories
from when we were little…
but none when we grew up
because
I blamed life. But time flew.
It turned out
life wasn’t in the way,
but more of what we needed.

Wishing all to never take for granted you’ll have more time for life. And to not let life get in the way of family and loved ones. Because it’s actually more of what we need

M had her first Hollywood Forever @cinespia Movie Night - Spielberg’s masterpiece ET!!
One of my favorite LA activities that signaled the summer season (pre-baby). It was a very industry night - during credits, writers cheering when the writer name displayed, composers cheering John Williams, editors when the editor name came up, etc. You can tell our house is a composer + music editor industry home.
Can’t wait for M to finally join our family traditions that make LA so special 🎬🍿 (maybe she’ll follow dada into film composing or momom into impact producing) taken in Hollywood Forever Cemetery by @jackyjarei
