Every class with @yogawithsamuel is an intellectual exchange. I enjoy the two-way communication in which I give my feedback on how I feel in an asana and why I find it difficult to get there. You always offers alternative ways to help me get there with plenty of positive reinforcement. I learn not to compare myself with others because I respect my body and I know our body has its natural limitations. I may never be able to do certain asanas in my life but I know that patience and persistence may help me get there one day. #yogaforlife #listentoyourbody by @jackytyoga

So glad to be able to “workout” in gym and “workin” in yoga studio quite a lot with you in 2022! I have seen positive changes in you with consistent yoga practice! I still remember vividly how much you hated yoga in 2018 but I’m so happy to see that you’re in love with it now! Let’s keep practising.

If you fall, we catch. @victorchauyoga by @jackytyoga

Baby birds learn how to fly from the ground up. Only by establishing a solid foundation, we can then fly in the limitless sky.

Going upside down allows you to see the world differently and gain clarity in your life. It’s also a natural facelift giving you an instant glow in your face!

It’s ok to be not ok.

This is the biggest takeaway I picked up from my Yoga Teacher Training @yogaroomhk with @victorchauyoga

I remember vividly how terrible I was doing in my first class teach. I couldn’t articulate with my verbal cues and during the review session I burst into tears because I was so disappointed about my performance. I shit my pants and hit rock bottom basically.

But I bounced back.

I let go of my ego and acknowledged my weaknesses. I humbly listened to the feedback from master Victor and my lovely fellow classmates. I worked tirelessly to practise teaching as much as I can with my supportive classmates, friends and companion. All their encouragement and positive energy lifted me up from where I fell.

I am also deeply grateful to all my yoga and group fitness teachers whom I have met along my yoga and fitness journey. And this journey has no destination because there is always room for improvement.

Only practice will make progress but not perfect and there is no quick fix.

Haste makes waste.

Only by being patient with yourself can one get through tribulation. And sometimes the simplest way to calm down is to take deep breaths!

I will continue to inhale deeply, exhale deeply!

Namaste!
