Fifteen years. Fifteen years of missed milestones, conversations, advice, arguments, laughs, hugs, and memories... I have now been without you for as long as I had you and the hurt is still there, I am sure it will never fully go away. The what-ifs are the worst. However, as I sit hear on this beach (your favorite place) on this most beautiful day, I can't help but wonder what kind of convo we would be having if you were physically here. I know I would be trying to make you laugh, although you didnt do it often your laugh was the best! I have done okay without you here although at times it has been a struggle. I am more than greatful/appreciative for the people I do have (grandparents are a blessing), the people from the beginning and the ones gained that you have never met. I would like to think losing you at a young age made me a stronger more independent person and I guess in ways it did. No matter what happens, no matter how much time passes, at times will still need you, I will still love you, I will still miss you and I will still always want to make you proud. I truly think about you every day, even if it is for a brief moment. Today however, on this beach you are my main thought.
